Having watched Graham make a great success of hosting Over the Rainbow he really would make an excellent replacement whenever Bruce decides to retire.

What I liked about his presenting is that he does not try to take over but is able to strike a good balance and lets the performers and panel have the limelight .

He is hilarious I love him! he is also very professional and presents brilliantly. His banter with the judges on otr was great, so would love to see him take over from Brucie.

I'm not so sure, he might be OK, depends how he uses his humour as I assume that would be an element. I like the way Tom Bergeron does it in DWTS.

Graham gets my vote too now. He has proved to me how well he can do family and 'adult' presenting.

Mind you, how the BBC pick presenters is beyond me - I'd never have guessed in a million years Jason Manford would take over from Adrian Chiles on the One Show.

He`d get my vote too - best suggestion yet and think him and Craig would play off each other well

Graham also gets my vote, think he would be the ideal replacement for Bruce.

Graham is a fantastic presenter....and has MORE than proved himself on Andrew Lloyd Webber's series of shows. As commented... he does not take over at all, and allows the contestants to shine.

He would be a fantastic replacement for Brucie...and in fact, it would be great to see him present the show with Claudia Winkleman, they would be a great twosome. Time to retire Bruce and Tess me thinks.

As an added bonus.........think of the banter between Graham and Bruno !!!!! Lets face it.... if ever there was a show that could only benefit from the camp element, its Strictly.

I like him when he is presenting his own show. On the ALW shows he is just smug smug smug.

I think his own show is different and works.

He could do Strictly - I would even prefer him to Brucie - but I hope Graham isn't the best option.

Graham has grown on me - I thought he did a good job on both OTR and Eurovision.

Just can't envisage him doing the little dance at the start of Strictly though!

Well if the BBC read this thread they will be getting Graham to sign on the dotted line......I have rarely seen a thread on this thorny subject of replacing Bruce where there is such little anti.....they will come flooding out now. I have to say I think he would be perfect and a safe pair of hands as far as the BBC are concerned.........he can be extremely naughty on his own late night show but I have never known him to overstep the mark at family viewing time.

If we have to have Bruce back for another year then perhaps we could have Graham as a dancing celeb that would be something to see LOL

Graham's presentation varies according to the show;
For Eurovision Graham had to do what Terry Wogan used to do - talk, talk talk.
For his own show the jokes are smutty because that is what the audience expects.
For Rainbow, Nancy and all the other ALW shows, he was much toned down.
All we need to do now is get him out of ghastly suits and remove that edge from his voice, and he'll be fine - but on his own, with Tess backstage.

I actually do think Graham's come on a lot and has proved he's versatile enough to handle something like SCD. He's also already in golden handcuffs and a Saturday night fixture, so it'd be simple enough to tie him into SCD, I guess.

My only potential worry is the thought of Graham, Craig and Bruno turning the whole thing into a queen-a-rama, but I think they're different enough for that not to happen.

I would love Tom to do strictly however I know he is too busy in the States to even consider it and I would like Graham Norton - he is so natural on Over the rainbow I think he could really work on Strictly.

I love Strictly but if Graham Norton was ever on it I would have to record it and fast forward over him. I can't stand the man.

I've only ever watched one episode of Over The Rainbow (what a surprise - the one I liked got voted off ) and he seemed to be ok on it. With there not likely to be another series involving ALW then he'll have the time on his hands. I enjoyed his Eurovision commentary - it's impossible to take it seriously these days and his commentary was in keeping with that

Let's face it, whoever replaces Bruce will not be unanimously popular, at least to begin with. All previous threads on the matter seem to indicate that not one potential candidate had the overwhelming popular vote.

Although not my first choice, I could think of worse options...

Perhaps we could could have a phone vote and a 'present off' to decide
