Terrible, certainly wont win Eurovision and deservedly so. It would be an embarassment if it did. God knows what other countries think when that is the best we have to offer. I bet they're laughing day and night at it.

I feel sorry for him tbh, the poor lad is a decent singer but with a song like that he could well be gone after this song.

As I wrote before- I knew this would happen.

Wonder what Miles is saying? No doubt he'll blame everything else for the UK failing rather than the song being dire.

It's not been helped by Pete Waterman slagging off the Europeans for not supporting the song, which has contributed to the poor position.

We need to do what Germany did - tie in X Factor with Eurovision, make sure that the song is a massive hit before the competition, get it released across Europe and promoted properly. Jade did promotion last year on European TV and it worked (she came 5th I think).

Oh, and the BBC need to stop fixing Song for Europe by picking a limited choice of contestants (mostly from stage school backgrounds) to choose from and not allowing the public to choose the song.

Alternatively we need to use the best of British talent and let them compete for the chance to represent us. Then promote the hell out of it and release the song in the months between the Song for Europe and the night itself. Germany MUST have had the advantage as their song was already a hit in several countries.

Well earned last place finish there for us, and a nice contribution from Pete Waterman slagging off Europeans for not supporting the song and Josh.

Finally back to normal after Jade runied our looser reputation by coming 5th last year.

I hope Waterman stays so very far far away from Eurovision next year.

Rubbish song, rubbish performance. How we managed 10 points, I'll never know.

Miles19740, the chap who started this thread.

Loves SAW and hates the film look on Neighbours, and doesn't like anyone disagreeing with him on on those opinions(see mushymanrob)- there are going to be some people who hate SAW and like film look Neighbours- it's a free country and they are entitled to their opinions.

Wonder how he'll defend his beloved SAW now, now that Europe are laughing at us?

Oh please. The song was poor- that's why it flopped at Eurovision.

Inconsolable over him finishing last in Eurovision? Josh's family need to put themselves in the shoes of someone like Helen Newlove or the families of the ladies murdered in West Yorkshire. All he did was finish last in a song contest.

Its a shame because Waterman and he's ignorant and snobby nature may have wrecked this young mans career, he's only 19 but he's a good singer.

F**k off Waterman.

Yeah we're talking careers here, not brutal murders, so dont drag it off topic.

Well done Josh for giving your absolute best. Shame the song was very poor but I'm just glad we got points!

Totally agree with this - what I've been saying myself.

I am gutted guys...but there is no way we should have finished last...and Ireland should not have finished third from last. There is more going on here me thinks. I think the Europeans know we don't really like them and so therefore, they are not going to support us on our terms for one night only.

Looks like you called it right AndyB2007

Anything but the song eh? The song was garbage, it played a big part in why we came last.
