Dr Made Amy Forget Rory?
AshDybala

When the Doctor was asking Amy to remember Rory, you could see he was slowly disappearing in her mind.

Was this deliberate on his part? Like she'd be better without knowing what happened to him, or him even existing?

No he was trying to help her to remember him, but the memory's were still slipping away from her.

Funny that I though that the doctor was attemping to get Amy to remember, and that her mind was rejecting the treatment

Amazingly enough the cast and crew on DW confidential seem to be under the same impression....

Yeah, Amy could have done it if it weren't for the huge 'bump' of the TARDIS reaching the ground above...she was distracted.

Quite a spine-tingling moment, really. Amy just turning to the Doctor: "What were you saying?". The sadness on the Doc's face.

I haven't seen confidential just yet. However if the cast and crew is thinking alike myself and yourself then maybe we are on the right path

During the sequence, the Doctor says something about Rory existing only in Amy's mind now (or something similar). The sentence jumped out to me, and is accompanied an image of Rory shortly before the TARDIS jolted.

I'm thinking that if Rory comes back, he'll have some sort of memory loss, and we'll hear that line again as a flashback; perhaps part of an explanation about how Rory is restored.

Is the last remnant of Rory - aside from the ring of course - now buried in Pond's subconscious...?

Could the ring be the catalyst in bringing those memories to the surface?

Will the Doctor go back to tell the younger Pond about Rory, thus making Rory the VERY IMPORTANT THING that Amy is instructed to remember in FAS?

Hmmm. What a very intriguing ending. So rife for speculation!

Certainly a possibility.

Maybe in the finale he is trying to get Amy to remember Rory but she can't. The Doctor then decides to travel back in time and meet young Amelia again.

He tells her all about Rory when she is 7 then meets her a number of times thoughout her life (one of which is the FaS encounter) to re-enforce the memory which causes Finale Amy to finally remember.

If I may make a suggestion, perhaps it is
Spoiler
the Doctor
who will be eaten by a Time Crack But he somehow fights it, and he goes back in time to get Amy to remember him? Just trying to put it all together somehow...

I think you could be on to something there!

It was VERY much like the "you have to remember what I told you when you were 7" moment.

I now do think the Doctor in Flesh and Stone was a different one and is somehow related to the "dream" sequence when young Amelia seems to hear the TARDIS returning... maybe he has to tell her something then which is important in the future per the finale.
