So no Ingham or Green once again...

I know Mike Ingham cut down on the number of games he did about 5 years ago and him being off throughout this Christmas/New Year season isn't too surprising.

Alan Green though - where's he been? Not like him to miss the whole fixture programme for 3-4 whole gameweeks. Is he on his 'holiday' he has or are we seeing Green gradually being phased out with Ingham to make way for Murray/Dennis/Fletcher/Brown/Oates etc?

Andy left CFM in 2009 and took over the role of Barrow AFC commentator this season.

I'm told CFM do not send a reporter along to Carlisle United games anymore though someone better-placed might be able to confirm or correct that!

I think that Mike Ingham disappears from Christmas to late January and Alan Green only makes the odd appearance.

FA Cup next weekend, and Man Utd v Liverpool - nailed on that Green will do that, and possibly Ingham too.

I suspect, Jamesp84, that you may be right. Looking at recent years again, MI and AG were used sparingly in January rather than not at all.

Alan Green is back on 606 this weekend and I'll be very surprised if he isn't at OT, I'd expect him to do 1 game per weekend but not do any CC semi finals or an FA Cup 3rd round replay (unless there's one at Anfield)

Today FM's Premier League Live had a double header of commentary games on New Year's Day.

It was West Bromwich Albion v Manchester United with commentary from Ian Beach and Frank Stapleton at 12.45pm followed by Liverpool v Bolton Wanderers with commentary from Ron Jones and Brian Kerr at 3pm.

I don't know who Today's reporters at the day's six other Premier League games were unfortunately, but Michael McMullan was in the presenters chair with Mark Lawrenson joining him during the gap between the two commentaries.

I don't like to be too critical of Radio 5 Live on a Bank Holiday Monday when they have devoted so much of their schedule to Football League coverage, but it's a little bit poor that they only took second half commentary on Huddersfield Town v Sheffield Wednesday, particularly when an hour long football magazine show was scheduled during the first half. Other than that though, it sounds like they are doing a pretty good job to be fair.

BBC Radio Leeds and official Huddersfield Town website
host: Derm Tanner
Huddersfield Town verses Sheffield Wednesday
commentator: Paul Ogden
summariser: Kieran O'Regan
Bradford City verses Bury
commentator: Derm Tanner
summariser: John Hendrie

Listeners to 5 Live and Radio Sheffield could hear Kieran O'Regan in the background during their commentary on the Yorkshire derby.

I agree with the Difference. There's another football show on tonight anyway, so they should have took first half commentary. It would have been nice to have a 606 considering they can't be bothered to do Charlton verses Swindon.
