Just seen Sally Lyndsey (who plays Shelly in Corrie) in an interview and she said that Harry Flagg has been saved from the chop! She also said what a great actor he was and how the cast and crew are glad he's staying, as he's a joker on the set.

She also said that although Bev has gone, she will be back

I can live with Harry staying..

I guess the rumours regarding Bev commiting suicide have been stamped out once and for all then. Shame they couldn't just send her back to wherever she came from for good.. don't you just hate it when irritating soap mother's rear their winkly heads after a welcome absence..

That's great news about Harry. He's a good character, perhaps they'd underestimated how popular he was. Do you think the petition we all signed asking for him to stay may have had an impact then?

Harry's a good person i'm glad he's staying haha

Shame about Bev really - i didn't mind her (as a character for storylines, in the way that i don't mind watching her but in real life i'd hate her) but i was looking forward to the spoiler that said she's found dead in the pub. Horrible of me really

I hope they don't change his character too much. Harry is a steady guy, the joker but with no high drama and adds great balance to the show.

I also hear that Daniella 'Sam Mitchell' Westbrook is joining corrie, as one of Tracey's mates from london.

apparently she doesn't watch EE anymore! and neither does Alex 'Trevor' Ferns hmm. A pattern is emerging, as most of the ex-eastenders don't watch it either!

Bev does leave later in the year, as she has an affair with Charlie when Shelley goes on a night out with Sunita... She leaves Weatherfield with embarassment - so the door is left open for her return...

Cheers,

If Bev is staying then where does the return of Liz McDonald fit in? I thought she was going to take over from Bev in the Rovers when she killed herself? Bev is bad but not as hard on the eyes and ears as Liz

Susie Blake who plays Bev has already left the show although will be on screen for a short while yet. However according to Sally Lindsey (Shelly) she is set to return at some point. I think she basically means the door has been left open for her to come back one day.

I dont think she will end up back behind the bar at the Rovers and I would imagine any return will be short term, as if stories are to be believed she does the dirty with Charlie behind Shelley's back, so i doubt Shelley would have her working in the pub again.

Well Bev has def left the show, but I actually saw Sally Lyndsey saying Harry was staying. She was talking about how he uncovered the truth about Orchid and was asked why he was leaving, and she said it wasnt true he was set to stay.

As for Bev, your right she has left although Sally hinted there would be a possible return.

Re: the possibility that Liz will have her wicked way with Charlie (or Ciaron) how is it that a mangy sour faced old trout like that can pull all round her while nice normal people like Shelly, Sunit et al find it difficult to even get a date. Have men in soaps no standards (except low ones)

Am I the only one who thinks Harry is a little annoying (granted not half as much as Liz or Bev!), but even more so after his Little Miss Marple bit last night & what was with those shades dude?!?!?

Harry's heart is 'in the right place' but I don't think is character adds much to the show. The highlight of his appearances recently have been is date with Janice and the revelation that his daughter had died. Shouldn't they give Harry a bigger role every now and again if they are going to keep him?

Bev is quite annoying. I'm not fussed either way, but if she's going then she should just stay away for good.

Leanne should be coming back in the next three weeks as her return is forecast in a spoiler for the time period 31 May - 14 June.

He might provide a bit of humour for them but his scenes aren't that good, his storylines aren't that good, he had a small part in the Knicker factory fire, then we had that stuff about his daughter and now they've used him to discover who Fred's Thai Bride to be really is.
