Will.i.am taking backseat on Cheryl's 2nd album
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hLqLGoU31Pc (2:46 - 2:55)
Will.i.am "talked about it with Cheryl a few days ago" and "would love to work on the new album". Seems to me Will.i.am is having to take a back seat on Chezza's new album, which if you ask me, can only be a good thing. The best thing about the album was FFTL, which was one of the few songs he wasn't involved with. What with Cheryl going full speed ahead with the following artists, I'd assume will.i.am has been given the slip: RedOne (Lady Gaga, Enrique Iglesias) Fernando Garibay (Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Pussycat Dolls) Ryan Tedder (Beyonce, Leona Lewis) |

I'm not sure even those songwriters/producers could hide her non existence of talent.
Christ Tedder is dreadful anyway. |

It doesn't really matter who writes the songs. If you can't sing you can't sing.

Thank God for that. Apart from 3 Words (the song), I thought all the songs he was involved with were the worst ones.

I don't blame him - it's bound to be shite - maybe she could cover "I fought the law and the law won" and "stupid girl"

I would be happy for Cheryl not to do anymore solo stuff full stop! I'm not a big lover of GA's music, but I really don't like Cheryl on her own. As far as I'm concerned, she just doesn't have enough punch (if you'll excuse the pun
) to be a solo artist.

Cheryl should try collaborating with a vocal coach. Her voice needs some serious work! She also needs to work on her performance skills. She's like a lump of clay when she attempts to perform - no spark, no charisma, no connection with the audience.
You can get away with less than steller vocals if you have stage presence and can work an audience (Robbie Williams being a prime example), but Cheryl diesn't have those abilities to fall back on - and all the dancers, backing singers, costumes and pyrotechnics in the world can't disguise that! |
