Apparently she announced to the crowd at on of her Monster Ball shows a few days ago that Dance In The Dark would be her 4th and last single from The Fame Monster.

This is brilliant news on the one hand, because it's such an epic song, but it's just a shame it's been shunned to being the final single after dreadful songs like Telephone, so it might now chart so well.

Isn't she releasing another album this year? She won't have time to release DITD.

I don't want DITD to do a 'Love Game' and peak lowly so i'd rather it was just an album track now.

I was hoping Alejandro would be the last single. I like DITD but I'd rather it stayed a good album track rather than a flop single. I also hope she takes a break before the next album, but that seems unlikely, she's a workaholic sadly.

Happy we get a video for it!

Unhappy it is a single, it it more of an "epic album track" that is too epic to release and be diluted by the masses.

DITD should have been the 3rd single instead of Alejandro, it's a masterpiece. She should leave TFM after Alejandro and then release the lead single off of her next album in October/November.

Dance In The Dark deserved to be the first or second single, I agree. I'd really want to see a video for it, but I'd hate for it to flop.

Oh, and her next album isn't coming out until next year, so Dance In The Dark will be all we're getting for the rest of 2010 from her.

I want a video to, and alejandro wasn't the right choice for single number 3.

Dance in the Dark is amzing, epic and sheer brillance complied into one word, which they haven't invented yet. They should make up a word and put it in th edictionary and put a picture of the single cover next to it.

I think it won't chart as well as it would have done, say if it was the first single but it should do fine, with radio support a good video and a few live performnaces.

Alejandro was released purely because it's a very summery song.

Oh please tell me you're kidding?

She's already released 7 singles from The Fame era, she's sold 10 million albums worldwide, and she has a new album coming out at the end of this year...

WHAT ON EARTH IS THE POINT IN RELEASING ANOTHER SINGLE?!?!?!?!?! As much as I'm a huge fan she really annoys me sometimes

She announced on Larry King that the 3rd album wont come out till next year because of her extension of the monster ball! So there is plenty of time for DITD to get a proper release!

Bad Romance onwards is The Fame Monster era. Dance In The Dark is the 4th single from the era, like LoveGame was the 4th from the Fame era.

Besides, one more single wouldn't hurt to last us to next year.

Dissapointed, it should have been 'Monster'. DITD along with 'Teeth' is a song that I always skip on the album.

But again we go back to something mentioned on here time and time again - people will get sick to death of her if she is constantly releasing songs. And with a new album out either at the end of this year or the start of this year (who knows how many songs she will release from that?) she will not be having any sort of break and people will get so fed up. And like I said - she's already sold 10 million albums and released 7 singles from The Fame/Fame Monster era so why on earth would she need to release yet another?

I don't think that is necessarily true, she's been releasing songs non stop for the last 18 months and I don't think her songs or she is getting less popular in fact I think she has been increasing in popularity. I actually think a long break could be bad for her career.

If she releases her next album next year (March/April) then it's fine for her to release DITD in October as it still leaves a 6 month gap. But I would prefer Speechless as 4th single as that is COMPLETELY different to every other single she has released. Whatever song she picks, the video will be epic.

ANOTHER ONE?????!!!!!

Has she not just released the video for Alejandro?

For Christs sake give us at least a week off from having to listen to you love.

A single a month for the past two years. It's getting tiresome.

Wow, so she's released 24 singles then! God, that's every single song off of The Fame and The Fame Monster! hahaha

So Happy I Could Die is a good song but not single worthy, it hasn't got the impact needed. DITD is memorable and much loved by the fans, as is Speechless.

Pretty much to be fair.

She's bleeding both albums as dry as she can without facing an inevitable Rhianna style backlash.

Her popularity soared toward the end of last year but I think people are already getting fed up of her by now - that's been quite obvious actually. And why would a long break be a bad thing? It's never hurt Justin, Beyonce, Christina etc. And doesn't it make it all the more special when they have been away for a while and they come back? It lets you appreciate them being around better.

If Gaga carried on like she is now we'd all get so used to it and it would just be like "oh surprise surprise Gaga's got another single/album out". When big artists haven't released stuff in a while it builds anticipation and excitement when they announce their return, and as I said - makes it all the more special. The classic phrase 'You can have too much of a good thing' springs to mind.

AMAZING decision. This will probably be the last single from 'The Fame Monster.' My fave song on the album - AWESOME!
