don't think In For The Kill has been released yet. I'm glad she's number 8 but it's only one song - i'll be interested to see how the album does.

Not exactly her biggest fan and Bullet proof is not a song i personally like.

But well done to her, not many british artists do that, and without using a featured artist they should be very proud of there selves. WELL DONE ELLY AND CO.

probably because she's a clone of the sort of thing they love, sadly like all clones theres a shelf life.

i don't thinkshe will, she has nothing different about her and if she does do well it won't be because of her but the featured artist she is use.

And then you wonder why Leona fans get so defensive. It's because of detractors like yourself that can't stop dragging her and her fans into every thread

Well done to La Roux, I hear it on my local station all the time. The DJ keeps insisting it sounds like "early GaGa stuff"

Alexandra will be around for years yet. Plus she is a marketing mans dream. She will be classed as the UK Rihanna. I see her having loads of success in America.

Alexandra's personality is perfect for what America is. She isn't boring so in turn isn't doomed to fail like some I could mention.

She's very boring in my opinion, very bland boring songs, probally on of teh biggest rappers will feature on the song. Bad Boys is boring and Flo Rida's bit was unesseary, All Night Long had the power to sosund good but it got a bit boring through the song and when pitbull came in became even worse, the only one i liked so far is broken heels which is atcully quite different and a superb track, if this one is released up there ill support it.

And who are these others you mention, and i think the only British artist we have at the moment that isgood enough to go Stateside is Florence and the Machine.

Well Robbie for one. Plus JLS haven't set the world alight either and Leona has come back with her tail between her legs. Loads of British artists have failed because they aren't big on the personality stakes. Its the number 1 rule to being a popstar in America.

i hate robbie, but he has gallons loads of personality, JLS dont, Leona dosen't but she said her new album is gonna be different so i think she will turn in a great star. Alexandra has no peronality really well if she does her songs dont portray it. Florence is the UK's GaGa.

See I think Alexandra has everything Leona lacks. But I like Leona. There is a wisper on the XTina forums that she has lined up XTina for a possible duet.

They have failed because their material wasn't in line with what the radio was playing. The #1 rule/key to success is radio friendly hit material, that and also if you want to sell the album the audience has to connect with you as an artist.

I guess you probably think Leona has no personality yet when she had hit material she did well here..and so did her album which showed the public had interest in her so your theory about personality being the #1 rule falls apart right there.

Sometimes the US let in good songs by artists from a different country. But the US are very stubborn when it comes t taste of music, shit rappers and rihanna wannabe along with diseeny stars is all that you see in thier charts, i only saw one dance song in thier charts last year ans thats kelly rowland - when love takes over which only made 77. Leona had a brillant first single and i guess she got lucky when the US radios atcully played it. British artist Jay Sean has bascaally become an american artist because hes music is now so americized, like Alex's, if she does crack it it wont be down to quailty of music.

I'm so happy for La Roux! Bulletproof was one of the best singles of last year, imo.

The reason so many pop acts use rappers is because it's hard to get a hit without Urban radio supporting your music. It is much more impressive to get a hit without a featuring rapper, but it's still impressive to get a hit with a rapper, imo.

I hope Alex does well in America, because she's worked hard and the album is a strong pop album. I don't expect her album to sell millions in the states, because feature singles generally don't sell albums. But having hit singles helps to gain momentum and will help sell future albums and help her in the long run.

I don't like the song, but well done to them all the same

and it blows the theory that only R&B sells out of the water and releasing a song that is different and plays to your strengths is the key.

Kylie is a good example, she had US top 10s with the Locomotion and Can't get you out of my head...but flopped with songs that were ironically supposed to appeal to America such as 'All I See'
