Loved her last album, hopefully this one will be as good. This single took me a while to get into, but love it now.

haven't heard it yet, but she's co-touring with kelis, so that makes her more than alright with me. i'm sure she'll be relieved.

Gaga is a fad and she has no longevity IMO.
Robyn has proven time and again that she is a credible singer and writer with amazing songs. robyn had 4 hits back in the late 90's, only 1 (show me love) got inside the top 20.... then nothing until the excellant 'with every hearbeat' which WAS superb, however, shes failed to create anything as good as that, and this new track is another... dud, for me...its just there. so thats hardly 'longevity' is it! like it or not ga ga pishes all over robyn. |

I've heard an advance copy of her new album and it's incredible. Only 8 tracks, though, and a running time of just over 30 minutes.
A lot of the tracks are less "poppy" and more "dancey" than the single, and the last two tracks are acoustic, with a wonderful cover of a Swedish folk song as the last track. I've listened to very little else for the last few days. Here's some youtube links... Track 1 (warning: strong language) Track 2 (Fembots) Last track (Jag Vet En Dejlig Rosa) Track 6 (None of Dem, feat Royksopp) |

Why does everything have to go back to Gaga? Jesus, it's so annoying, we get that some people don't like her.

Both GaGa and Robyn are great artists in thier own right, lets just leave it at that and concentrate on what this thread is about, ROBYN'S NEW SONG, WHICH I LIKE.

It's such a good song, Robyn is so good at making rave-y pop music with genuine feeling. Many try and fail but Robyn nails is every time. She is very under-appreciated.
Body Talk Pt.1 is getting very strong early reviews, it should be good

I was expecting something good after the comments here, but it's really really dull.

None of Dem w/ Royksopp is awesome!!! From some seemingly cold and harsh vocal beginnings, flowers one of the most ecstatic dance tracks of the year....
(and DomO, is too, too sad... but in that kinda of PopMisery Robyn does so well....) |

And critical acclaim does not equal commercial success... look at Goldfrapp... very rarely trouble the singles chart....

This song is really growning on me, everytime i hear it, i like it even more. Defiantly in my top 10 singles of the year.
Hoping for a top 10 placement, but with the Dizzie/ James Cordon and Kylie Minogue relased the same week, i doubt she has a chance of making the top 2. |
