Did anybody else notice someone has the role of script supervisor in the end titles of junior apprentice? It makes you wonder what really happened and what scenes were created. I know nearly all these shows are faked in some way but why the need for a script.

The narration is scripted.

A lot of Sugar's jokes are scripted (and it shows). But yes someone has to write the narration and make sure is adds to the drama or comedy. And telling us what the 'cupcake industry' is worth. Those facts don't just come naturally When I say facts .....

Just from a job title alone it's difficult to work out what their actual role is. The Apprentice tasks do follow a 'script' as they are broken down into mini tasks and situations. This show isn't a fly on the wall documentary however much it likes to pretend to use that method.
They like to edit candidates to be seen as certain stereotypes. That has to be done consistantly.

Are you implying the same isn't the case for adult the Apprentice?

Who me? No same methods apply if not more so. I think last year a clause was highlighted with the contestants' contract with either Talk Back or Freemantle (the makers) stating that the TV company had the right to portray them as they saw fit.
As opposed to making any attempt to be fair. Obviously it wasn't worded like that.

A script supervisor's job is to make sure the footage they capture can be edited together into a coherent narrative. Some of it is about ensuring a kind of physical consistency in things like where the cameras are placed. Some of it is about ensuring they capture scenes which the editor will need - eg where the task is explained, or where the team captain is picked.

So having a script supervisor does not imply scenes are scripted in the sense of being fake or their dialogue being written out in advance.
