Not sure why I put the question mark in the title, as the plagiarism os so blatant, but check out the prominent synth melodies on the following tracks:

Lady Gaga's upcoming single Dance In the Dark

Twenty year old Depeche Mode classic Strangelove

Shocking!

Ah, I see it! She was saying something about Depeche Mode the other day. I personally prefer DITD.

The synth melodies are only a little similar, hardly thread worthy.

A bit pathetic when the similarities are tiny! So no she hasn't plaigarised Depeche Mode!

Sounds like she's only just found out DM and is claiming to do a "better version" of People are People next?

She then went on to say we should all check DM out as they are very underated....Thanks for the heads up Gaga. Pmsl!

She's not releasing anymore singles from this album.

The next one will be the lead single from her next album, expected Spring/Summer 2010.

There's a similarity in the chord progression, but it's hardly an outright 'rip off'.

Really like the Dance In The Dark song.

I'm not exactly Lady Gaga's biggest fan but lets face it, who that uses synth's in their music hasn't been at least a little bit influenced by Depeche Mode?

Its not a massive list trust me.

The synth melody bit is actually more similar to the saxophone melody from George Michael's Careless Whisper imo.

Everyone copies Depeche Mode(brilliant band) and Gaga copies everyone. But nowdays no song is a hit without some sample of an older much more interesting band. I just wished the kids noticed it.

Totally hear you Viridiana, I do that with my son...he comes in playing some tune on his phone. Then in goes my ipod and I play the original...he's less than impressed, but still funny!
