Don't even know his name, but didn't want him to go through. It would be funny if his voice broke before the live tour and RVS

Potentially he has a great voice, loved him singing Danny Boy.... just didnt find him to great tonight and therefore would have maybe put what I considered the more entertaining acts through. Knew he would get through however, but will be interested to hear him again tomorrow.

Aw, I thought he was brilliant, and a lot less arrogant than the drummer boy! I was sorry he didn't win it tonight

I see little appeal in sprogs singing. Sure, they may have beautiful voices, but good music demands more than that. Nine times out of ten they have the stage presence and charisma of a microphone stand.

I want someone who's lived a bit to sing songs, to inject personality and emotion into them.

My thoughts exactly. He could sing high and in tune, that's about it - and there's a lot more to good singing than that.

He has to have had some training, though. I haven't heard him sing, because I haven't watched BGT this year, but I've seen pictures and he stands correctly whilst singing.

I don't understand all this about his voice breaking though, it can't be controlled so yes, it can go at any time but that's true of any boy from about 11 upwards. Even though he's 14 sometimes they can go on longer, I was almost 15 (and anyway, you don't know when he was 14, it might only have been a few weeks ago). In any case, some boys can still sing when their voice is changing, on the other hand, others can't, it depends. But I'm sure there would be a plan IF he did win AND it did break before the show, he could mime, sing something else, or they could send someone else? It's irrelevant.

As for the stage presence thing, choristers are pretty much expected to remain perfectly still...

Yes, the expectation is that you listen to them rather than watch them.

Not just that, but moving around whilst singing affects your breathing as well.

He was terrible and that cocky drummer one.

Kids on this programme are too cocky and most of them are just crap

They both got enough votes to go through, though. I can't pass comment on how good this kid is because I haven't heard him sing, but he's clearly popular enough with BGT to get to the semis, and with the public to get through to the final.

I'm not sure anything else is really relevant...

Boring and dull. Hated Simon's reason for putting him through; because his voice is going to break? What about everyone else who it was a "final chance" for like Neil who didn't get through?

And like I said, he might have another 18 months left anyway. Or he might wake up in the morning, and he can't sing a note. You can't tell. (That said, height tends to be the best indicator).

Considering how long castration has been illegal, I doubt it. It will break, as with anything, some just break earlier than others. Cowell's probably right - 6 to 9 months tops.

You're either clueless, jealous, or both.

Of course, you could be trying to wind people up, in which case you just succeeded.

Ohhhh you do make me laugh.....*chortle*

I can safely say there is nothing about that boy that I am jealous about. believe me when i say that.

I don't like the way that people presume that's the reason people don't like things. Im glad I can't do that with my voice...can't say I've actually tried

That said....I also love winding people up

Yes, he does. I just listened to his semi-final, it's trained, but it's a lovely voice. (Exactly like it sounds before it's about to go...)

He isn't as good as Andrew Johnston though...

I thought he was good, but I was expecting his voice to go bass halfway through.

Wikipedia "A castrato (Italian, plural: castrati) is a man with a singing voice equivalent to that of a soprano, mezzo-soprano, or contralto voice produced either by castration of the singer before puberty or one who, because of an endocrinological condition, never reaches sexual maturity.
