Will the singers do the same songs they did in the auditions?

I only started watching BGT last year, but I noticed in the final that nearly all of the singing acts sang the song that they auditioned with. I think Hollie Steel was the only act to sing a different song

Do you reckon this will happen tonight? I remember Cowell hinting that Chistopher Stone will sing Maria again.

I didn't like it last year when thiis happened. I found it rather boring, and I would feel less inclined to vote for a singer if they did this even if I really liked them. The dancers and other acts come up with different routines, so why can't the singers choose different songs?

No. George Samson did the same routine in finals. I'd think most of the acts practice hard 1 or 2 routine / songs for the show. Also much easier for producers

If it was me, I'd pick a different song. Liam's planning to sing Danny Boy and Chris may return to Maria. It may be easier for Janey to stick with something she's already done, then again, she's said she has a wide repertoire. Connected may be able to come up with something different. JLS said Connected sang One Shot for them - perhaps they'll do that tonight? I'd love that as long as they didn#t murder it, as I'm a huge fan of JLS

I'd pick a different song too - if Liam sings Danny Boy again he's kinda sang the same thing 3 times
Chris sang Maria very well but a lot of the time it was just "Maria Mariiiiia Mariiiiiiiiiiiiiia" etc, he was just repeating the same thing over and over

That's what I thought re: Danny Boy/YRMU - they're too similar

I read last night Janey is going with her Edith Piaf song again.

Wasn't George meant to do something else in the final but the last minute decided to his "Singing in the Rain" routine?

Yeah, they are - YRMU's tune is based on Danny Boy

Just realised that Julian Smith also did his audition piece in last years final. I wonder how the producers choose who does their audition piece and who chooses a new one then? Hopefully the contestants get enough say in it.

If I were a contestant I would also prefer to choose a new song - although it is a risk it pays off as long as the performance is good enough I think.

I admired Tina for wanting to do a new routine for the final when Simon said he wanted to see the ballet one again. Hope we see some great new routines from the acts tonight. I wouldn't mind if Connected chose One Shot either.

No! They're not allowed to sing any song I like or think is ok; they'll ruin it for me.
