Are they for real? I actually really like the single ( ) but I cannot believe that they came on to the stage and mimed throughout the whole song. Did they actually come second in a SINGING competition?

I know, it was very obvious! I especially liked how the camera zoomed out at every hook as well, the part that it is humanly impossible to sing!

I don't understand why they need to mime? If it's expensive to have a band play, surely they can just use a backing track? Plus, they obviously can sing, and it's not like their voices are shot. Just doesn't make any sense.

I think the verses were live?

Though, still that is no excuse. They will never be able to recreate that song live anyway - it makes me wonder why they bother recording them?!

I do love that song though. It's a grower!

They're so shit, it's unbelievable like a even crappier Blue. Can't people still buy into this shit, thought it died out with TV Hits, Smash Hits, etc.

I haven't seen them sing live once since they competed on X Factor. It's quite pathetic really, even Miley Cyrus gave a good live performance on BGT the other night, with plenty of dancing.

Thing is though, neither JLS or their management care about them actually singing, or how bad their songs are - all they care about is that most of their fans will buy any crap they put out because it has their name on it, and as long as they continue with the silly dancing and lifting of their shirts the fans will go crazy about it.

They must be absolutely laughing at their fans behind their back for buying into it.

Nope, what they did was turn off the auto-tune from the studio recording. You could tell as JB and Oritsé gave away the whole thing. Personally I think Marvin and Aston should go solo, they have the better voices, and the way their songs are getting worse, JLS probably have only another 2/3 years left.

I didn't see the so-called-performance, but I'm betting Cowshed along with the other two gave them a standing ovation with massive false grins on their faces? Saying things like 'that's how you do it!' etc.

Spot on, plus Cowell has been hyping them up to Ryan Seacrest in the US, but with material and performances like that, they will get nowhere in the US.

But Blue can actually sing live (especially Lee), regardless of wether people like their songs or what the stand for. Same goes for Westlife etc.

I've come to the conclusion they and Cheryl Cole are trying to outdo one another with their miming.

First round went to Cheryl with her "Yes, I'm miming in a live lounge!" performance

Second round goes to JLS with last night's "Yes, my voice honestly does sound like a robot" performance.

To some extent they have balls for taking the piss so much, I dunno why the press put up with it when Britney gets slated

Well the song did seem to be.. autotuned a bit? Is that the word? With them special effects how they make the voices sound weird. So maybe that's why they couldn't sing some parts live.

Did you really expect anything more of them???

That's what they do. I think we should all be used to it by now. I guess their fans don't care because they lap up any thing they throw out.

The comments on their official forum were mainly along the lines of "OMGX\\!! ASTON was sooo fit!! OMG!"

They could probably just come out and stand there for 3 minutes and play the record on a CD player and their fans would still be happy

Probably.

But if they're looking for longevity, then they need to up their game. Their core fanbase will grow up and move on soon enough.

I hate JLS as much as i hate JASON DERULO.

But even I can't see why they can't sing, they can't say they don't want to harm there voices because they done a lot of performncaes because GaGa has been around the world touring for at least a year and has not mimed once, Rihanna, Alica Keys, Even Diana Vickers and Alexandra Burke never mime. They can't say they are concentrating on there danciong (britney anyone) because like i said before GaGa can do it, Christina Aguleria can do it and so can Alexandra Burke and Beyonce.

I am not a fan of JLS all over, I know alot of people are gonna be right for them but I don't get it...

"Beat Again" was a great tune but nothing since then appeals to me.
I also hate the fact that their fans will buy anything. You just KNOW that when they released their first album with "4 exclusive face covers" (for each of the 4 JLS members) that some people bought all 4 versions.

Its the only reason I can think why that album has done so well...

I was ashamed to be British last night, it was an stupid performance. The nights before we had Alicia and Miley who both did fantastic performances and then JLS come on and mime the whole song. Big let down Simon Cowell! I know they are talented (even though I cant stand them) So why the hell were they miming? Its just stupid.

They were even miming the parts where their voices are heavily auto-tuned/vocoded which made it even more obvious, it was hilarious and embarassing at the same time.

I never liked JLS but I can't believe they would go to perform at a talent show and mime... I guess it was probably because you can't do the auto-tune part (obviously that was what made the miming obvious) live.

But they have nerve to do that when all of the contestants (and other guests) are performing live.

And as mentioned before their fans still seem to love them

I wasn't paying enough attention to notice the miming, although it does not surprise me at all. I don't mind JLS, I don't know many of their songs but they're quite catchy. But the song did make me laugh, I kept thinking they were going to start singing the Sound of Music (which I realise was half the idea, but still...)

I was actually expecting something different. I thought they would at least sing the verses live, if anything. It's a joke now. Have they sung once on a TV show?. The weird thing is- they have NO excuse.. absolutely none. They came second in a singing competition (mainly because they're ''fit') but also because they have OK voices and good harmonies. What the hell has happened to them after The X Factor??

Louis Walsh happened to them. He's still their manager right?

I quite liked them on X Factor, but now I'm really not fussed.
