Simon on the defensive
Mandark

I see Simon went out of his way to point out that Connected chose their own song tonight and that Kieran, may have (although we don't know for sure and I personally doubt it) chosen his own set.

Clearly the comment from Father and Son about producers insisting on performances has worried them and they're in damage limitation mode.

Yes he certainly is over justifying everything tonight!

The wrong song can ruin a singers chance of winning,
it's not the first time an act has stated they did not pick
the song they had to sing.

Simon is quick to take the credit when things go right though.

It certainly does appear to be a case of Simon 'doth protest too much'!

An inspired song choice by Connected...they chose one of Westlife's best songs...I was no fan of them but after that performance even I'm picking up the phone...and there must be a million others doing the same...
