OK, if you say so! But I'm a 22 year old girl and I wouldn't dream of going out dressed like that, whether I had paparazzi following me or not. And neither would any of my friends. I wouldn't take my clothes off for FHM either (not that I'd ever be asked to, but hypothetically speaking!) Like I say, I don't mean to call them slutty, but I still can't see how PCD are "slutty", but the Saturdays aren't. I think if anything its the other way round.

Yeah they really need to concentrate on getting out some amazing pop songs. The record company has ploughed so much money into them, there's no reason why they can't get the best producers etc. They just need a few songs that'll make people (not just die hard fans) go out and buy the album.

It'll be hard though. The public just don't seem to have clicked with them at all even though a few of their songs have been big.

I'd love to know how much profilt actually comes from a single then that sells say 200,000 like some of theirs have. Once the video costs, management costs, songwriter and whatever else are taken out they probably make nothing themselves.

Thats why all these pop bands have to do sponsorship deals etc to make some cash. I remember seeing an interview once with Atomic Kitten and they said this.

exactly... theres no comparison between the sats and pcd when it comes to 'slutty', and im quick to knock the sats but thats one charge i cant lay against them. and those pics were pretty obscene, it should be illegal to deliberately take 'upskirt' pics of girls getting out of cars... papperatzi = perverts.


my.... you have collected alot of 'sexy' pics... how odd, but as red+blooded said, they arnt the same as sexually writhing around, gyrating you hips, rubbing youself up against random blokes all in their underwear. most of those pics are 'accidental' or even illegal. you could follow most young ladies around pointing a camera up their skirt or positioning yourself to get a 'bum' shot when they bent over and it would prove nothing. most of those pics were innocent.

ok posing in their underwear (but not in a porno way) does seem desperate, you say you wouldnt pose like that.... but in reality, if you were a saturday and your livelyhood depended on selling records which arnt good enough to sell on their own merrit..... most of us probably would.

Totally agree! There are plenty of great bands that only get coverage in the UK. UK & US music industry should be more integrated to make success in both countries easier.

I see PCD as sexy, and The Sats are not "slutty", but more so than PCD.

PCD are/were dancers, more than anything else. Performers with costumes and characters. Hired to be in different music videos (before PCD with Nicole) dressed up differently and with different attitudes and looks for each video. Plus, they're older. They've got much more experience under their belts. It's their job to be dancers, not singers and with dancing, comes to costumes etc.. But when they're out, they don't look slutty to me? Don't think I've ever actually seen them out tbh!

I find The Sats just take their clothes off because they need as much attention as they can get. Looks really forced to me. Because no ones really interested in them as much as they should be (I know they've sold X amount of records and have loads of fans blah blah blah), they do all these photo shoots, get their boobs out for their videos and Impulse adverts, and hope some people will take notice. But I'm sorry, your albums just aren't good enough and none of them are charismatic and interesting enough.

I'm certainly no fan of Girls Aloud, but you've got to be kidding.

GA have had some absolute tunes handed to them!! Songs that people automatically know the words and tune to. Great videos too (apart from I Think We're Alone Now and Long Hot Summer )

All The Sats have got is Up and Issues. The rest of their songs are so forgettable. I'll give them Forever Is Over though also because I quite like that one too.

But so far, The Sats have not nearly generated as much interest and admiration as GA had by this point. They're just so, bleh.. (Fair enough GA had a TV show behind them, but The Sats have had loads of money pumped into them, 2 former S Club 8-ers and all the magazines doing as they say by promoting Frankie the most)

The rest were trash, also I think The Saturdays seem like genuinely close girls I always found Girls Alouds relationship with each other fake and the whole Nadine scenario now just clarifies this to me.

All I'm saying is that with their mediocre charting singles, disappointing album sales and the fact that the public just aren't warming to them, any other girlgroup would have been dropped by now. It's just because their label are desperate for them to take after where GA left off and it's not working. They'll won't stop trying though!

The Saturdays' problem is that they just look like 5 cast of Hollyoaks or something. Yeah they're good-looking but not distinctive enough, not enough about them. All Girls Aloud have something about them.

All I know is:

Frankie is being marketed and put up front the most, perhaps to make into the next Cheryl Cole. She was in S Club Juniors where she was clearly the prettiest one, and she goes out with Dougie from McFly

Una is old and plays the guitar. She also goes out with a rugby player that asked his agent to ask her agent if he could take her out on a date after seeing her on tv or in the paper or something.

Rochelle is another S Club thing, and she was also on some singing programme (I only found that out today, mind) and apparently, she's the bitchiest member of The Sats, from what I've seen on the forums

Vanessa is the youngest and has the best/most consistent voice.

I agree with the Hollyoaks cast thing too. They were all too polished and too perfect when they first came out. They didn't look like 5 humble girls just starting out in their music careers. They just looked like a money making machine that had been planned for ages. From their hair, to their clothes, to their style. All too carefully planned. No "spontaneity" for lack of a better word.

i agree that the sats songs arnt as good as girls alouds... imho only 'up' stands out. im not a fan of manufactured acts, however the quality of the songs given to girls aloud is something i cant deny (as was posted above). i liked (reluctantly) all their early singles, and i think 'love machine' is a corker of a pop song.

Just to agree that Una and Mollie are the most attractive.

Girls Aloud had Xenomania producing all their songs, giving them a distinctive edge over the rest of the music artists. Practically every song was produced by Xeno. Never mind the fact they got a chance to show their personalities and individual vocal abilities on one of the most watched TV shows and got a massive selling Xmas #1 on the back of it. They then got top ten hit after top ten hit and because they've lasted so long and have had so many catchy songs they've built up a massive fanbase and now the general public know everything about them, know all their songs, they're selling out arenas etc. Without the TV show and Xenomania they'd be doing exactly what The Sats are doing right now.

The Sats got alot of money invested into them and they're doing well with it. Considering how awful some of the management decisions have been ('If This Is Love' as lead single, Comic Relief single so soon, 'Work's promo being an absolute mess, 'Forever Is Over' as lead single, album released on the back of one single and only nine months after their previous album peaked, constantly making them mime, not capitalising on weak singles market two months ago with a new single etc) they've done incredibly well. The only things they've failed at are missing the #1 spot with Comic Relief (Flo Rida, the biggest selling download in America at the time beat them), 'Forever Is Over' getting poor sales and only selling around 80K with their second album but considering the circumstances i've just mentioned then it's not really The Sats fault.

They just need a #1 single to establish themselves, imo. Right now people don't think they're any threat to the top spot and just assume they'll land somewhere between #2 - #10 and then collect around 200K sales and move on to the next single. If they smashed it with a massive song and got the top spot people would recognize them alot more. All this about pushing Frankie into the media is a mistake, imo, as she's not the smartest member and can only bring them bad publicity with teenage girls getting jealous at seeing her with McFly.

And btw, they're incredibly down to earth. If you checked out their backstage videos (or even this video you'll find they're all pretty funny and do alot to please their fans.

I think the sats need a show where the public can get to know the real them! I would say vanessa has the strongest voice then rochelle. I think rochelle and Mollies are both stunning. The weekest singers are deffo mollie and frankie.
