After slating Britney..Is Cordon miming?
honeythewitch

Is it possible that after voicing his strong opinions about Britney Spear's X factor performance that James Cordon Mimed part of that football song? http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage...ey-Spears.html

He appears to be tapping the microphone at the end rather vigorously.

There's a very loud backing track. The mic is definitely live as he uses it to talk at the end to Ant & Dec.

The difference is James Corden isn't supposed to be able sing professionally.

I've always been dumbfounded by the success of Britney Spears.

I thought he had some sort of musical background?
He is certainly talented in many areas. His performance was fine i thought (apart from the miming, which i couldn't care less about but thought it odd from someone who was so venomous about another artist not being fully live)

I thought he was terrific in "fat friends" especially the episode he directed.
The only other programme i have watched him in (bar x factor) is celebrity hijack and i did not like him in it.
He seems to be very popular though.

He went to the Jackie Palmer stage school which is known for its excellent music tuition.
He was also in "Martin Guerre" which is a musical in operatic style .
So i am assuming he is fully competent.

I think if you make a record you are supposed to be professional.
In fact i think he may have an undiscovered talent as an athlete if he was singing live and was not out of breath after his funny "running" dance

CORDON TO SWIM THE ATLANTIC!!
Underwater.

Does anyone think the song sounds like a Five song as Cowell's behind it!!

I'm pretty sure he's been in musicals and he was a straight actor (i.e. not comedy) for many years, actors usually learn singing and vice versa.

So while he may not be a recording artist (until now) - he's had singing experience.

His argument against Britney Spears miming (which she wasn't, not fully anyway) was that it was a talent show, then he goes and does the same thing. So he's a hypocrite.

Anyway the song is good and the overall performance was great, I was surprised overall.

James can be very critical of other performers of miming really and that's one of my annoyances of him really and always gets my goat!!! i like James and love Brit! dont forget she had a much publicised meltdown she couldnt hide anywhere so for her to gain that courage back again and perform a year after i just remarkable really, even though she had a backing track she didn't mime the entire performance and her Circus tour was awesome really! not Madonna's high standards but thoroughly entertaining and...firey!!

while James Corden basically has done a half decent job on an okay song here so i am not fussed to be honest, i just sometimes wish he wasnt as critical of other performers when he cannot prove anything himself really.

i still find him funny in some things (Gavin & Stacey and on Doctor Who this Saturday of course!)so he's an okay bloke just AAAARGH agrivates me sometimes.

I'm glad more people have realised that she was actually singing. There was a bit were she was way off key for goodness sake.

yeah i loved it when she used to do acoustic sets for MTV,Oprah and on Ellen she has a lovely voice i just hope she gets the confidence in herself again to perform her songs with less of a backing track in the future.

remember the snake MTV performance in 2001?the Baby One More Time one in 1999, Like A Virgin/Hollywood 2003? and Oops I Did It Again with the X Men inspired sets, they were ALL live and her tours prior to Circus were all live, but the past few years she is more reliant on the backing track, except for Everytime i think, but still she's good could be better but she's getting there

I'm 100% sure he's actually able to sing, at least for theatre.
