I got mine by getting up at 4.30am, checking out a couple of stores that had no stock, just in case and then found an O2 that had 23 people there already by 5.50am!

I had to queue up for 3 1/2 hours but it was very much a 'festival' atmosphere so the time flew by! A right laugh, actually!

I'm really happy but probably need to go back to bed soon!

Woot got my new 32GB iPhone4 after waiting 2 hours in the O2 queue lol

Syncing it now, looks and feels way better than my old one.

On a side note O2 were selling the phones to new and existing customers even though they had a sign on the window saying existing only.

Well the Orange website is saying they're totally out of stock of iPhone 4s. So perhaps they had stock and people got lucky this morning or they've accepted orders for phones they don't have.

I have been watching their site for the last hour or so and they have been updating all morning, they seemed to run out of stock about 30 mins ago on the black 16 gig. I placed my order an hour ago and have just now had my email confirming dispatch

Whooop. I have mine now. I was at the back of th queue and an apple guy came out and was asking everyone if they. Were waiting for contract, I said no sim free and he pulled me out of the queue and whoosed me to the front I felt like a rock star lol

Haven't played with it much but it is great so far.

They still have stock for those who haven't reserved at 10 am so people may be lucky!

So please learn from my stupidity!

Do you have to input your WAP password?

It prompted me to put in mine.

Do you mind me asking what you need to take in with you in order to sign up? I have a utility bill and my passport - is that enough?

For those struggling to get through to O2 and not on the O2 forum...

Call 2302 from your O2 phone, select the options for "other queries" (think it's 2,5,2 from memory) and you should be through in no time.

I was on hold for over an hour before and got cut off, tried this method and the phone was ordered in 10 mins. Did have to convince the girl on the other end that I could upgrade but it didn't take much. Also now showing in "my orders" on the O2 site.

Right - I'm very tired so a stupid question coming up.

My micro sim has been activated but I've got no signal yet. Is that why I can't check my emails? It's asking me for new passwords for my email accounts.

I know I'm going to kick myself as it'll be such a simple answer but I can't think straight right now.

I just got one from Tesco! Good deals there too - plus only contracted for 12 months which is nice.

No, I think it can only go in one way.

Will I need to sync my current iPhone 3G (i.e. backup) with iTunes before I put my new iPhone 4 into iTunes? That way, will all the apps sync?

He was talking "pish". The girl I called said exactly the same, I pestered her to "double check with a supervisor", she put me on hold to do that and the next thing I know I'm speaking to someone in retentions who is ordering it for me.
