I think my 18month old HDR has given up the ghost

Have tried switching power off/on, but it just shows "Boot" in the display and the Humax logo on the TV screen.

Any suggestions?

Doesn't sound too good. If I remember correctly someone previously opened their box up and checked the Hdd connection was seated correctly. I think that resolved it.

Tried but no difference. Will now try contacting Humax to try for a repair/replacement. I understand EU regs entitle me to 2 yr warranty.

Disappointed with Humax reliability as this Foxsat was to replace a Humax 9300 freeview model which also failed after a few months.
Am I unlucky or what!!!!

I think that's one of those regulations from which tBliar succeeded in getting us an exemption.

Nope it's valid, in worse case you may need to threaten with small claims court if they refuse.
