I think Kelly Jones has spoken to BBC Wales news it's on at 6:30. Kelly is currently at home in the cynon valley attending his uncles funeral

R.I.P. Stuart Cable

Stereophonics were the first major band I saw live and I always thought Stuart was very under-rated as a drummer.

I also liked his Guess The Year show on Kerrang. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about music. I did notice that sometimes his voice sounded like he'd had a heavy night though!

It's not very often that I am gutted by a famous person dieing (Steve Irwin was probably the last time) but this is one of those times.

Such sad news. He was a great drummer and a really likeable guy. I saw him with Stereophonics a couple of times (in 1997 and 98) and I remember him walking past me at the bus stop here in Cardiff one time too, and wanting to say Hi but not wanting to bother him as he looked like he was trying to avoid eye contact with anyone, lol. He was good presenting local tv shows too. He'll be missed.

pity, had personal demons by sounds of it. Had to laugh when thye mentionered his mother's name was Mabel in the article about him
