Entitlement? It seems I can get BBC i-player if I purchase:
- a Playstation (working in belgium?)
- A Freeview satellite (not in Belgium)
- a Wii - but which Wii? there are about 99 boxes with different Wii in the shops, so ................
- mobile phones - all are set up per country. If in the UK, I can't get i-mobile apps.

we pay for iplayer via the licence fee, which of course you don't pay.....
Good to hear that Torchwood is coming back with John & Eve. Don't even mind that there is American money/locations involved. What I don't understand is the total negativity that some posters on this forum seem to have towards R.T.D Don't forget if it wasn't for him there would be no revised Dr Who or Torchwood in the first place.
I only hope that there is a good explanation as to why the rift in Cardiff is no longer a risk and indeed why there is no further need for the rift manipulater. Not bothered if PC Andy doesn't appear but would like at least a token appearence by Gwenn's baby and hubby.

Mixed reactions to the news.
I liked TW, CofE is one of the best British sci-fi stories brought to TV in my lifetime. That Jack, Gwen (and surely Rhys?) are returning is exciting.
But my overriding feeling, as a subscriber to a new start in the Whoverse, is of apprehension.
Doctor Who is the primary show, and it has moved on. Moffat is the new man. He should not be encumbered by his predecessor, who tied his creations (including Capt Jack) off in End of Time. RTD is an excellent writer who could have deployed his talent in new ventures rather than look back.
This treatment of TW as part of a Doctor Who franchise and its internalisation strikes me as a very commercial decision. The BBC should be investing in new British talent and promoting them abroad.
If I let my head rule. I'm afraid I will not be watching.

[LIST][*]DW was coming back with or without RTD.[*]RTD has stated that there will be scenes set in Cardiff so unless they are just in Gwens house it suggests that there is a new Torchwood base there.[*]PC Andy is probably back going by what Tom Price has said on twitter.[/LIST]
Given that RTD has written and shot a SJA story with Matt's Doctor I don't see a problem with the Doctor turning up in Torchwood or Captain Jack in DW.

But surely TW has developed in such a way that the direct links to DW are fairly minimal anyway? Apart from Gwen's monologue about why The Doctor hasn't intervened, I don't remember any real direct references in Children of Earth

And then Julie asking RTD to be the showrunner.
RTD was a success as Showrunner of Doctor Who (i did't enjoy it, but millions did!), But i think that Lorraine Heggessey's part in the return of Doctor Who should not be forgotten.
Anyway good news that Torchwood is back....
So this is the first show to be produced by BBC Worldwide I wonder what doors that opens for them to 'resurrect' other cult shows that sell well still around the world?
I'm finding it hard to get excitied over this.
For me, it was the dynamic of series' 1&2 that made me love the show. I liked the small team of people who we got to know well over the course of the episodes, in a secret base under ther city.
I thought it was sometimes cheesey and a bit crap but that's why i loved it!
To start with, I loved the idea of C of E as i thought it would be the best episode ever. I was still upset to see it without Tosh and Owen, but didn't let that bother me.
But at the end of the first episode, where they blew up the hub, it stopped being torchwood to me. It just turned into another government based drama with cameo's from 3/5 of the torchwood team.
With no cardiff, no hub and less than half the original team present, i can't see how they can still call it Torchwood....
I have faith that the series could potentially be good however i don't think it will be torchwood.
And i'd have to hear amazing things about it for me to be interested and watch an ep.

I think i may have mentioned this however I am really excited about the news and who knows maybe there is an alien threat which is not only attacking the Riff in Cardiff but else where in the world.

If it is going to be on the Same Night in Britain as it is here in the US
Then I doubt it will be Saturday.No Major Shows on Saturday night here.Except Saturday Night LIve.-We Don't Have any Family hour. or Anything like that. Although More Adult themed shows are on at 10-pm. As A cult show it might make it on Friday Night. _But that is When Sy-Fy Channel shows it's Cult shows. Friday -Saturday Night in The US are Bad For TV.
Allot of people are out. -Sunday Through Thursday. Those are big Nights.-At Least it is on a Pay Cable Channel. It would never survive on Network-or Basic Cable. I'm sure it was watered down for the BBC America. We can't say allot of Swear Words that you can Say on the BBC. Or show allot of things. No front Nudity. There is brief Flashes of men's behinds after 10pm but that is about it. Saw an episode of Being Human this year and was shocked at what you guy are allowed to put on public TV- Don't think it is wrong. But just surprised that you allow it, and we don't
