What TV's Have This?

Currently on a Schneider 28 inch 4:3 set which has given me great service, but I'm thinking the time is right to go widescreen.

I'm after either a 28" or 32" model, not bothered about brand names at all, but what I do want is NTSC compatibility, minimum 2 scarts, and, most importantly, a P-I-P (Picture In Picture) or P-A-P (Picture -and-Picture) function..I've got used to this with my Schneider set, and I'd hate to be without it now. Trouble is, it's not always mentioned in the 'Blurb' on on line stores, and trying to get a remote out of the sales staff at my local Comet or Curry's is like asking for the moon on a stick!!

Not looking to spend the earth right now, as I'll probably be splashing out on a plasma set in the not too distant future, so anyone know what sets have this function (The cheaper, the better!!).

I was wondering if the flatscreen Tevion Aldi are putting on sale from tomorrow (Thurs) might have it?

From my experience with tv's i have found that it is usually the brand names that come with pip/pap,and these are generally the higher specification models.Looks like you got a good deal with the Schneider set.

Yep, probably did..I think it was about £230 four years ago, and to be honest, it still gives great service except for a slight fault on NTSC playback where the picture pulls off the side off the screen on one side by about half an inch.

Just looking at the link provided above (Many thanks for that, BTW!!) . Tried a local independant TV seller today, and he was less than useless..must have told him 5 times it's not picture and text I want, but picture and (or In) picture 'Oh, I don't think any TV's have that on anymore'..wow..and he's in the business of selling the things!!!

Maybe the current Schneider sets have picture in picture. Most reviews I have seen (although I have not used a Schneider my self) rate them very highly - especially for picture quality. Maybe go for the same brand again?

I know the one 32" model my local Asda has for sale doesn't have it as I had a play with it last week (Scinema something or other)
