The video's too long and could've been reduced to the length of the actual song, and I think it would've been better if it was shorter. It doesn't hold my interest for the full 8 minutes or so like Paparazzi and Telephone did, and still do.

i actually love the Madonna references, it's inspired, Madonna is an idol of mine too and she really makes the statements in her songs and video's and she is the Queen Of Pop AND MORE!
but i actually prefer Alejandro to Telephone for sure maybe because it's so oozes with Madonna, Alejandro and Dance In The Dark are my favourites anyway

I used to love Gaga. But I have been going off her more and more recently because she is transforming into Madonna daily. Now its stepped up another gear.

I think it's brilliant but a little dragged out. There's no storyline which is fine, but it means the video can't be sustained for nearly 9 minutes.
I could still watch Telephone now and still be glued to the screen because the video and the storyline keeps your interest for the full 9 minutes and 30 seconds. Alejandro needs to cut out some of the filler.

To be honest one of the most annoying things is Christina fans who defended the Not Myself Tonight video by saying she was 'paying homage' to Madonna and yet they say Gaga is simply copying her. Its all a bit hypocritical...

It is, I wonder if Marilyn Monroe fans were outraged at the Material Girl Video or if they took the compliment, Madonna loved Marilyn so referenced her, Gaga loves Madonna so references her, except Madonna has more relevant things to reference and update so it happens more than Madonna/Marilyn.

How exactly?! Seriously! I love Madonna but she wasnt the first at all! She was the most famous, and hugely successful person to do these things (with religion and sex) but there were plenty of artists who did it first! And also in this video, I literally see a handful of nods to Madonna but no rip off at all!

They have both ripped off Madonna and others like Gwen Steffani also ripped Madonna off. However Xtina has her own identity too and Gaga doesnt only take inspiration from Madonna so neither of them come off as trying to mold themselves into Madonna. The only thing that gets on my nerves is that some of Lady Gaga's fans seem to think she invented these things and attack other artists like Xtina saying they are ripping off Gaga.
Lady GaGa is quite an attractive woman in real life but why make her self look so ugly.
This video is good but I can't see it being a must see. I think she should cool down on the long videoes now.
