I think it would have been so so much better if it were Vincent and Flavia, James and Ola or even Darren and Lilia rather than Brian????

Don't buy a ticket then. There are plenty of people who'll be happy to see Brian & Ali in the show.

From your previous posts can clearly see you are not a Brian (or Ali) fan so of course you are going to start a negative post about him. I personally cannot wait to see the show and surely the producers would not have invited them to take part if they thought they were not up to the required standard.

I am sure any of the other dancers would have been fantastic in it, but the producers of the show obviously wanted Brian and Ali for a reason, and must have though they were more than up to it. Im really looking forward to seeing it

I love Brian as a dancer & I am sure Ali will be brilliant in it! Brian is one of the nicest people that I have ever met & he deserves this as much as anyone else. I have not met Ali but she does seem like a really sweet, genuinely lovely woman. I wish them the very best of luck. Burn the floor Brian & Ali!

I can't wait for Burn the Floor - going to see it on opeing night and closing night. If you don't like Brian & Ali, then don't bother buying a ticket - simple as that!

If you have had the pleasure of seeing them dance together live as I have, they are absolutely magical.

As someone has already said, they would not have asked either of them to do the show if they did not think that were of the standard required to undertake such a prestigous show.

So it's either you think it's the most sensible decision ever, or sour grapes? You can't just think that a celebrity is out of place on a professional dance show?

So your not aware then that Ali has been training hard for the last few months at Karen Hardy studios and she is starting rehearsal for the show this week?

Doesn't make a difference. She's still not a professional dancer and the show will have to be very carefully arranged to try and disguise the huge disparity in talent.

Seriously, they were asked to appear as guest performers. 1. that means they are not in every dance routine, likely to be doing 2 or 3 which given the training Ali is getting, I am more than sure she can cope with and 2ndly had the producers of the show not thought they were up to it, then they would not have asked them.

If you feel any differently then just don't buy a ticket to go and see it, plenty of us will be going and are looking forward to it.

I've got no intention of buying a ticket. I just think it's a bit childish to assume, as some of these posts appear to do, that if you think it's a bad idea you must have sour grapes.

If you don't want to buy a ticket then why did you start this thread if you have no intention of actually seeing for yourself what Ali and Brian are like in the show???

No worries... I'm sorry if it comes across that I'm hostile to Ali and Brian, I just do think that it's a bit unreasonable to put anyone saying it might not work down to sour grapes... there are reasons to think it's a bad idea, and reasons to think it's a good idea. My personal feeling is that BTF is a show about professional dancing, and that having a pro/celeb couple is a bit too gimmicky for what this show represents. It's not about Ali being a bad dancer or not taking it seriously, clearly neither of those things is true. It's all down to your personal preference, but I'm glad that you guys get to see your favourites performing again.

I guess you're down about losing Brian as a competing pro, and I'm the same about Darren, Lilia and Matt... so I'm being a bit moody myself, sorry

For ll we know now Brian might not be in it at all, not even in the dance troupe, so BTF might be the last time in a while we see him dance.

Well he's got to earn a living and he can't very well leave the country what with his girlfriend living here... maybe it means he'll be free to do a lot more things his fans can attend
