and solo artists/rappers/DJs whatever..

Judges Dizzee Rascal Jamie Cullum & Sharleen Spiteri to find new talent in Must Be The Music on Sky1. More: http://sky.com/music

I may check this out, that prize sounds well thought out, artistic control and financial support, sexy.

It’s nice to see another door opening.

The price seems a bit too small imo though, it’s better than nothing, and having a better chance of exposure itself could mean a lot.

Do you have any more info? The article mentions “its unique format”, but I’m not getting a clear picture of the format from what’s written.

Auditions were held in many cities last month. Acts must sing without backing track (acapella) but can use instruments. Sounds very good, shows like this open doors to real musicians

Well… I hope it doesn’t turn out to be a version of Musicians only BGT. good to have it though.

btw, I meant prize, not price, in my earlier post.

Quote:
“hands back control to the artists themselves, empowered by creative support, promotional advice and a cash fund of £100,000 to kick start their career.”

Could mean anything, depending on what the fine prints say and how you interpret it.
