She didn't really have a choice though. She had already committed herself to a British gig. Her management have probably had to pay out for breaking a contract.

Actually Gaga did do something like that, apparently she cancelled right before a gig about two days or so. Then she added more dates elsewhere and the prices were hiked up to astronomical levels!

If that was the case, they should choose their loyal fans in Southampton who have supported them for over a year instead of a little flash of success in the states. Just because they have a little bit of success in the states (which in my opinion won't last) doesn't mean they can treat fans in Southampton as if they're less important.

oh yeh, i don't get why the prices just zoomed up, i mean i went to see kylie in 2008 and that was like 50 pounds but Lady GaGa charged like 80 am i right for her newst tours. Bit rude, condsidering how much she does care for her fans.

she hasn't cancelled to do a US gig (when i said she was on goodmorning america it was last tuesday) - i could kind of understand if she had - there's been no reason given why she's cancelled, she's just come back from the states and she's at the IOW festival on saturday so why she couldn't do sunday at southampton is a mystery unless on that day she's flying to the states which i very much doubt.

as annoying as cancellations are i think she's just done too much in too short a timespace over the last few months and it's catchin up on her so she needs a few days off.

She needs to be careful. She's got a big mouth and frankly she's getting/already got a reputation as being a snarky bitch. Facebook outbursts will not help.

She's not the only hardworking pop artist out there. To use the GaGa comparison, she is maybe a year or two older? She works insanely hard, constantly on the go. Do you hear her whinging about her schedule and being away from home? No. No you don't. Jackson needs to learn to be more graceful.

I'm usually good at separating the person from the music but she's making it hard to. (I don't think much of her voice anyway, very weak live and shrill, no subtlety or depth/richness to her voice at all.)
