Sagem has become Sagemcom

We're pleased to inform Digital Spy forum members that we have now changed our name to Sagemcom. This applies to both the company name and the brand displayed on our products.

Sagemcom has grown from Sagem which was formed in 1925. Since then the company has a rich and varied history that includes the development of many new and innovative products.
In the 1980s and 1990s Sagem expanded extensively in the telecommunications and consumer electronics sectors. This experience has formed the pedigree behind the range of products that we bring to our customers today. As well as the digital TV set-top boxes that you’re familiar with we have a portfolio of document management products that include MFP, printer, scanner, copier, fax solutions, digital photo frames, photo scanners and DECT. There are new products in the pipeline for 2010 and beyond.

We sell our products on 5 continents and employ over 6,000 people. One in six employees work in R&D and 8% of our turnover is re-invested in the development of exciting new products. Our aim is to provide customers with a range of solutions that delivers sound technology that is easy to deploy, then easy to enjoy.

The posts on this forum are from the UK office. We know just how important it is to absorb feedback directly from our customers and we'll be looking forward to keeping up to date with your comments in the forums as much of your feedback feeds into our development wish list and consequently informs our strategy for product enhancements.

We are aware that we have been relatively inactive in the forums in the past and we recognise the importance and benefit of participating in the Digital Spy community.

So, thank you for your comments, they all are read and noted although it may not always be possible to respond individually to each one. We look forward to hearing
from you.

Your welcome.

I have a Sagem DECT phone very basic, works OK and only cost £9.99.

Can’t be beat for that price. I don’t think I will be bothering you with any future (if any) problems with this phone because at that price I will throw it in the bin.

Joking besides I am sure the owners of Freeview and Freesat receiver will welcome your support here.
