Week after week this girls rudeness and snidiness shocks me every time! How the others deal with here I dont know, her nasty, curt little comments and sneery faces are really getting at me. I thought she would grow on me, like Debra Barr, but I find myself infuriated by her week on week!

What is up with this girl, surely to be a successful businessperson you must be open and attractive to your customer, but she is just so repellent.

I see as I'm writing this she seems to smiling... perhaps she trod on a snail?....

I think she's great! Has a real talent.

Zoe is what I imagine an internet troll to be like in real life.

It's weird. I can see why people find Zoe annoying, irritating, insensitive and domineering.

But equally, I've seen nothing in the show that makes her seem rude or selfish. I think that's misreading her.

The overt eye rolling in the face of people's opinions is incredibly rude if you ask me. The bullish butting in on conversations last week was rude too.

I agree about selfish though. I'm not getting that.

Especially as she was not pleased at Hibah for doing the same in episode one.

Hopefully when she watches the series back she'll gain some self awareness. I'm sure her moodiness this episode was a carry over from last weeks boardroom where some home truths were forcibly told (which will have been the night before for her)

Zoe is a cold-faced selfish bitch, I can't stand her. Arjun is the nicest and most decent one left and he definitely deserves to win a lot more than Zoe does. She's just nasty.

She's fantastic entertainment. Her telling the others that Lordalun had only good things to say about her in the boardroom was the most brazen thing I've ever seen on this show. Philip 'Pantsman' Taylor has nothing on her.

She strikes me as a little insecure though - which she hides by being cocky and over-confident.

I was impressed by her use of the 'autocratic' tonight. I definitely didn't know that word when I was sixteen!

I don't think she's particularly different from a lot of 16 yr olds. Bit of a drama queen but I think the other three can get over that. A bit spoilt perhaps? Yeah she's over confident but she's got successes to partly back that up. Tim and Arjun are also I think over confident in themselves (backed up too btw) it just come out more quietly. Kirsty is more driven by determination it seems to me.

I love the way candidates always keep up the pretence that these tasks happen a week apart.

Yeah I think she's getting the 'villan edit' too. Tonight when they came back and she's all 'he said positive things about me' (some were) the edit finishes before she can go on. And you just know she'd have gone on It's a bit like Yasmina coming back from Claude stamping on her head and saying it went great. Talkback admitted that was edited out of context later.

Except Philip was 29! he (and others) have behaved far worse on TA. A bit immature at 16 ok that's a definition, but very immature at 29?

Who isn't or wasn't insecure when a teenager? They are all trying to hide the fact they are a bit out of their depth and learning to swim the best way they can.

I wasn't criticising her - just making an observation. I don't dislike the girl. As I said, I find her entertaining.

Exactly! Yet twitter and facebook are full of idiots saying they know she's lying because "we can all see what was said caught on camera", as if it wasn't edited.

Even on what we saw, in fact, she wasn't lying, as Lord Sugar did give her postive comments. We didn't hear her say he gave her ONLY positive comments. And if she got a lot of positive comments that were cut from the edit, her comment may actually reflect what she was told pretty well.

I find it odd that Zoe seems to attract such vituperation. Yes, she has her faults, but compare her to some of the adults; we haven't seen her bully anyone like Jenny Celery. We haven't seen her making snooty VTs about other contestants like Katie (the worst she's said is that Emma is a bit confrontational, as far as I can remember).

Zoe is young and a bit brash, and sometimes not as considerate of other people's feelings or as willing to trust other people's abilities as she could be. If some people find that so repellent, then that's up to them, but it seems a massive overreaction to me.

I agree. She's arrogant, which is never an appealing trait, but so are many of the others who have far less to back it up.

I thought the 'he said loads of positive things' was an edit as well and it didn't sound like a finished sentance, especially as there was a witness, standing beside her, who heard everything as well.

She's very young, a bit brash, and has loads to learn, but she's got terrific potential, and growing maturity will, hopefully, smooth some of the rough edges.

While I think a lot of how she comes across is down to editing and immaturity I do think she let herself down last night. She was very sulky and unsupportive of Arjun during the task and as far as I can remember he offered her much more support when she was PM. She def had a bee in her bonnet last night and it showed. She does need to grow up a lot in terms of becoming a good businesswoman but I think the raw material is there and I don't think she's malicious or deceitful.

I don't exactly warm to her but I don't mind her. There's a kind of vulnerability underneath her brashness too that we catch a glimpse of now and again ... I think a lot of very 'in your face' people are like that ... loud on the outside and vulnerable on the inside ....

Its clear she is going to get the you are too much of a risk routine, however if the Junior show was seen as a trial run, Zoe single handley has ensured that there will be a Junior Apprentice 2011

Ew, imagine what kind of contestants the next series will attract.

Zoe backs up her flaws with potential and competence, but I can envisage imitators in the next series with none of her talents. *shudders*

I have to say I think she appears as a typical teenager who thinks she knows everything. She comes across as rude and unfeeling. The thing that sticks with me is the "there's no excuse for illness" attitude. Sadly, life does not work like that. I have medical conditions. What will her view be towards that if a family member becomes ill, or even her, how will she feel if she should lose her job through illness. Will she be eating those words in the future? No-one knows what is around the corner, and that is a statement that she needs to think about as life moves on.

Also the "positive thing" quote made me baulk last night. She lied directly to camera and the eye contact between the others seemed to indicate that they knew she wasn't being exactly truthful.

We all know you have to be headstrong and strike while the iron is hot in business, but she needs to tone her so-hacked-off-know-it-all-eye-rolling-demeanour to get anywhere with any respect. Lord Sugar has got her pegged and he knows she's a loaded gun, and that is a dangerous thing, and we all know he doesn't suffer fools gladly.

I for one would not like to see her win tonight.

Yes, that was one of her less likeable moments.


As has been mentioned, the boardroom is well-known to be heavily edited. Lord Sugar may have made far more positive remarks than we heard. But even if not, he did make some, so it's not an outright lie.
