So do I sign up as per usual on real.com using my personal details/account they have had on there since BB3, or do I now have to lie and create a whole new persona/email addie?

Join at http://www.real.com/superpass/bigbrother
Go to http://anchorfree.com/ Download and install Hotspot Shield (free) Connect with it, then go to Superpass site Works fine. I'm watching the pre-season interviews now. Thanks.

It all depends how scummy RealPlayer want to be. I messed with SBBA's recommended anonimiser and got mixed results. CBS site allowed me to watch full episodes, Fox and Hulu would not. If they insist on a North American IP for the streaming itself, then this won't work. I'm hoping Real are as slack as CBS, otherwise an American VPN will be needed.

I think I'm just going to opt to watch the live feed via free links this year. Hopefully someone on here will be kind enough to post the links.

I think the problem with this Hotspot Shield thing, is that it won't be able to handle all the data from RealPlayer. It will probably make the live feed really slow.

If I buy the feeds in time for the free trial, is it easy to cancel without getting charged if I find I'm still geo-blocked even with any proxys or programs that I try out?

I've signed up and am using Hotspot Shield. I'm able to watch the pre-season interviews, but I tried Flashback and I keep getting an error.
I think it's because for Flashback, you need to play it on realplayer - and hotspot probably only works for internet browsers. But the live feed is different this year and you won't need realplayer for the new season apparently because it's "web-based" - so I'll have to wait and see and hope that it works. |

Last year I tried watching through those "shady" sites but those links were so unstable I just ended up paying for the livefeed. This year I might end up watching the unstable links and trying to get my money back
Or I'll just skip the season altogether because I'm quite p'd off by all this. I'm waiting for friday morning to come tho to see how everything will work out! Flashback works without Hotspot Shield but Superpass vids on the website need the program to work. Another thing about the web-based livefeeds, this is kinda sh!tty as those very useful tools like BBViewer will most likely not work

Blistering on SurvivorSucks has designed a new player that works with the new flash based live feed. It looks great, and has all the same functions as BBViewer, but obviously it means nothing to those of us in the UK, if we can no longer view the live feed.

I don't think I have ever left subscription to the streaming as late as this. I want to do it now, so I can still get the early bird discount, but then think is there any point if we can't view streaming this year.
Why can't they leave things alone. If it isn't broken, don't try to fix it. Grrr |

OK, thank you Redmond!
Little update then from what I just noticed. The videos on the "Live Feed"-tab on CBS.com for Big Brother actually work and isn't geo-blocked. It's currently broadcasting feed highlights from last season. Other videos on the CBS website are blocked. Maybe it's nothing but...

What time (uk time) is the first show on tonight and will anyone be posting a link so we can watch it as it airs on CBS?

Flashback works for me now, even without Hotspot. It's strange, I had to download an older version of realplayer to get it to finally work, the latest version of realplayer wasn't letting me use Flashback.
