But I remember reading something about The Saturdays being signed to Interscope in the US.. so maybe it isn't a real record deal kind of thing?

She's been signed to Interscope since October. Quite often acts are signed to US and other labels around the world which gives them the option to release their material.

The "news" here is that it seems that Interscope are actually looking to release her work and have now signed her to their WMG sub-label

Of course it still may be years before anything happens, Alexandra Burke signed a £3.5m deal with Epic in February last year and there's no sign of any US even now, some 18 or so months on

Why should she "stop"? She's selling well, people like her music, they like her, they like her performances. Only her and her supporters/fans matter, because the majority could hate her, but as long as there are people buying her music and paying for her shows she's not gonna have a problem.
