My ex doesnt have any legs either and that doesnt make him a deserving winner of BB because of "what hes been through".

I have read a few things about Steve that I certainly do not admire.....his refusal to go to work for one! How is that being admirable?

A winner should hold a combination of some of the following traits:
witty, amusing, entertaining, enthusiastic, good fun, good at tasks, thought-provoking, talented, selfless, positive, compassionate, empathic, diplomatic, kind/good-natured, etc etc.

I'm not really getting much from Steve at the moment, other than being amongst the first to go to bed and lots of really loud snoring, and with the potential of becoming another Carole (on the controlling/bossy/order-issuing/fun-sucking front).

Sure, it's early days yet, so the verdict is still out...

But please, no more sympathy vote winners!

Hope so. But will the public vote him out?
eg. if he's up against the likes of Dave or Sunshine, it's more likely that they'll go instead of him.

Aye. Move over Gos BB4 & George BB7, your time is up.”

The very last thing we need is another sympathy vote winner.

Pete absolutely won through sympathy.
Threads declaring him winner before he entered the house, bookies favourite, plenty of awwss and a great amount of dedication to him in the highlights show despite being boring and dull,if pete hadnt had tourettes theres no way he would have won..he would have been seen as a player using women..

Both were very entertaining and worthy winners. I cant see Steve giving us the laughs that Nardia did. or having the compassion and being funny like Pete.

Cameron?? how would he be a sympathy vote?

Nadine?

I'm not sure anyone has won completely from a sympathy vote (perhaps Shilpa?)

However, a few have probably benefited from it. For instance, I have no idea how Mikey (BB9) managed to come second. I thought he was an awful housemate.

However, Steve really doesn't seem to have anything going for him as a housemate. The person who earlier mentioned the early-makings of a Carole re-run had it right I think.

The warning signs were there on the first night when he wanted to have a house meeting to discuss handling the food.

Agreed the Pete factor was a novelty, but its good to see we have moved on from the aw what a shame he has to win factor.

He might get to the final, on the never nommed basis, although I am not so sure with this guy.

He has no chance of winning

How did that horrible bloke came 2nd when Nardia won? My brain cant even remember his name Mikey was a better HM than he was.

Jason? It was merely because the 2 'groups' split the fans and he was the last one remaining from his group.

Can't really comment too much on Mikey because I got sick of BB9 after about 1.5 weeks and gave up. He was awful in the first week or so... truly 'switch off' inducing.

I agree, Steve looks morose and projects an uncomfortable vibe.

He's a virgin- he deserves all the sympathy in the world.

That and being completely delusional about the merits of abstinence.

In truth, humanity is wasted on him.

Yeah I dont think he will win,its him staying in till the final 5 thats going to bug me because it is likely to mean we lose good hms over someone so dull.

I think he may get a few nominations over the weeks just not enough to be in danger.
I hope we have lost the aww factor but when I saw threads on launch night declaring him salt of the earth and a great role model I got deja vu.
Truth is we dont really know steve,is there a control freak in him that explains his marriage breakdowns or is he just unlucky in love,I know if he was able bodied this forum would be tearing into him based on what little we do know about him plus his quite agressive and intimidating looks and his bland uninspiring contribution to the house so far.

The Carol parallel is very insightful.

I think if they refuse to even consider a nomination for him- they're being prejudiced against disabled people.

Thank you for that. I kept thinking Russel but knew it wasn't that lol.

Mikey was disgusting at first ( well all the way through really) but he was actually quite funny and didn't give a shit what he said .. I think he was a good housemate.

I think Cameron won because he was the best of a very dull bunch. If he went into BB now he would not come anywhere least of all win

Cameron was (is?) a virgin by choice.

He also had a successful job and always came across as happy with his lifestyle outside and inside the House.

No need for any sympathy vote.

Know what you mean OP, but the snoring will irritate the others, and all the good points Steve has will fade into the background if they lose their sleep through his snoring....

He's ok actually, seems a reasonably good bloke, but i don't think he deserves to win BB just because he's had his legs blown off.
