Hi all ive had bt vision a couple of years now and problem free (touch wood), and what i want to do is have two boxes one in the lounge and one upstairs.
Ive got one of ebay and it came with 2 powerline adapters so ive been trying all day to get 3 adapters to work together but i can't make it happen and other than getting a 30m ethernet cable and running that directly from the hub has anyone got any ideas?
Ant help greatly appreciated

having two boxs on the same line, Your Box ID is connected to one of the servers's. In this server is one box id only --- if you were to add a 2nd box, it would not recognize the box ID as you have the frist one connected "They for it will not work"

It'll work for a short while, until you try recording anything. That's where the problems started for me. Recordings would not finish on time and just keep recording forever, the recorded programmes would only show up on one box, and I had a couple of other little niggles, so I gave up the box in the bedroom and just use the PS3 with PlayTV and iPlayer to keep me entertained.

I have 2 boxes, one in the living room and one in the bedroom, the only downside I can't have them both on at the same time, which for me is fine as I live alone

In saying that though all you have to do is take the poweline adapter to the other room and plug it in and wala its straight on

Agreed.

BT vision > settings > general settings > system info

on the first page you will see the box serial number.

it is that which the BT servers will look for. When they were sending out the D8 update, they used to batch send it by groups of ID numbers.

I think eventually there will be a multiroom option, as its emi operational now.
