They also missed the deciding goal in the FA Cup Merseyside Derby.

It shouldn't happen once, nevermind twice.

What are you bleating on about? Evev if that was the case, theyd have seen the goal on SD and had time to switch off HD.

F1 is about the same behind so it has nothing to do with being in SD or HD.

A bit like saying that Hitler had unfair criticism... I mean how many world wars did he start? it was only one.

It's not the number of times you mess it up, it's the importance of the &*^% up.

I rewound my Foxsat live as I don't remember seeing the first goal (although Mrs Artois is kicking in). Looks like at 03:26 A Hyundai ad came in, then an ITV HD logo, then dropped to a transmission without the HD DOG. I reckon Hyundai will be looking for an advertising refund!

Can only happen to ITV, time to bring in the lawyers to stop this happening again for the third time. Micheal Grade must be fuming if he is watching in HD. Even though he don't work there nomore

So your saying VM are responsible for ITV putting on the ad break?

They don't control what ITV put out so how did you come to that conclusion?

VM have no control whatsoever over any channels output except their own channels.

While I can understand ITV will have issues I've sent them an e-mail asking can they lock the person responsible in cupboard till full time and then lock them in the same cupboard for future England matches.

In Granada here and it didn't happen, saw the goal (SD)

Incredible that they could do it twice though, And HD will on in a lot of pubs.

Re: other broadcasters - it's only a gentlemen's agreement between BBC & ITV so the BBC could show the England group games if they wished. Start petitioning and they may have to!

Of course it may not have been ITV's fault? But let's see what they say.

Its ironic that their last mistake they cut of the end of the Nike Ad during the Champions League Final . A mistake that could have cost them £1.5 million

They really should not be allowed to show any football matches of importance again. It is shambolic and amateur from what is supposed to be a national broadcaster.

ITV have obviously not learned the lessons from, when I think it was an Everton Champions League match a year or so back, where the same thing occurred; a commercial break came up from nowhere and the next thing you saw was some celebrations......

If the feed had gone down I might have understood e.g. local power outage etc, but they control their own ads etc
