I can understand the HD feed MIGHT not be their fault but cutting to the sponsor break thing can surely only be ITV's fault?

Absolutely amazing !! now it's SD as well.
Watching on ARD (German) TV now so no ads and no mess-ups. and I don't normally watch football...

ITV should have the sole broadcasting rights removed for games like these and also offered to other broadcasters so people have a choice to avoid them.

A mistake like this is highly suspicious and unacceptable.

Something's obviously gone tits up. Clearly they didn't mean to switch to adverts. The HD feed obviously went a bit mental so they've switched it to SD, which is a bit crap.

How the hell could they cock it up yet again? Only ITV could miss the first goal of Englands world cup campaign.
IDIOTS!!!!

Now you know how us F1 fans felt during the decade of them ruining our sport

First the FA cup.

Now this.

Do us all a favour, go out of existence and give your FTA slots to someone else.

Happened here too - didn't ITV do the same a couple of years ago, think it was also an England match?

They also cocked up the Barcelona v Man Utd champions league final on HD as well with the HD feed being reduced to SD for most of the game. Thank god the latter stages are all on the BBC.

Here in the Granada region some people are claiming regular ITV went off as well

ITV Sport is absolutely appalling

I cannot believe ITV did that, what a bunch of idiots!!! Wonder if they will issue an appology at half-time, won't hold my breath. And now we are stuck with SD, shocking!!

Should have spent the money on proper kit and not over paid commentators

Are you suggesting the ad breaks are controlled by SA TV?

Yes, thing can go wrong, but normally any other broadcaster during these type of programmes has everything locked down, so nothing can go one, event if some dimwit clicks the wrong thing with the mouse.

Heads will need to roll for this one from ITV right at the top, not the people that do their TX at Chiswick park

Exactly the same here.

Tuned to 103 within seconds but Gerrard already celebrating.

Very poor ITV.

Same happened here. The one thing I ever watch ITV for and they can't even get that right. Poor. And they've done it before so they clearly didn't learn from past mistakes.
