Talk about scrapping the bottom of the barrel . Any premium status of the IPhone has now surly been lost.
Three welcome to our Cr*p network.

Depends where you live - here Three are best for 3G coverage by a long way.

I was with three for 5 years. The coverage was excellent for me, the 3G signal being robust and HSDPA lightning fast. For me their only downside was a lack of decent handsets which made me switch to Vodafone with an n97 (total waste of time, both handset and network 3G wise) so I switched to O2 for the iphone 3gs. o2's 3G is better than Voda for me here in Birmingham but I must admit it's not a patch on three's. If I wasn't mid contract now, I would happily take the iphone on three.

Personally i would never go with three as i don't find their pay monthly plans wouldn't really suit my needs, especially with 24 month contracts they only seem to offer nowadays. I don't want minutes OR texts, i need minutes AND unlimited texts.

I agree.

I want a SIM free package with them that offers Unlimited Internet, Unlimited Texts AND Phone calls - but they only seem able to do two of the three.

There's not even a compromise option available with a very generous allowance of calls or texts.

Unlimited texts? How many do you send

Surely 300 would be enough

While 200 would probably be enough for me in most months, given the actual cost to the network of sending a text message, I'd expect any reasonably priced tariff to include them.

I pay £20 per month for Unlimited Internet, Unlimited Texts and 100 minutes.

Three doesn't have an equivalent tariff (on SIM only).

It does doesn't it?
They have a £10 a month "unlimited" text and 100 minutes SIM only package to which you can add "unlimited" internet for an extra £5.

Internet Max add on:

I don't know what you people are smoking.

I just went onto their website. First thing I saw was an offer for the desire: 500 minutes, unltd text, unltd internet - £30 a month.
Next I saw another deal which I've copied:
Nokia E63 24 months
Internet Texter 300
£18
Online only price.
(Retail price £20).
Includes:

* 300 minutes (per month)
* Unlimited texts
* Unlimited Internet
* Free Skype™ calls
* Free Windows Live™ Messenger
* Unlimited voicemail
* Unlimited Three-to-Three minutes

Ref DaveOC64 - if you're willing to go on contract they can beat your current price and give you a phone. Unwilling to go on contract then I guess sim-only plus internet add-on is the way forward.

Oh and on topic. I'll never give that excuse for a company another penny.

Zero reliability on their network in our area, which is north Hampshire. Led me to cancel a simo plan I took with them. When cancelling I got an email to confirm and that outstanding balance was zero. So cancelled the DD with bank.
queue three billing me another month, for next three months this went on with them agreeing I had cancelled.

We eventually managed to stop the bills. Then about two months later had a letter from debt agency saying we owed 3 £60 plus £350 collection charges.

Long story short I ended up enlisting a solictor who dealt with three at their eventual expense.

The 3 website doesn't let me add the Internet add-on to a Sim Only deal, so I'm not going to proceed if the site doesn't allow.

All of the other big networks make this very easy to do, yet 3 doesn't.

Sadly, this sounds about right/normal for them.

Im very happy with the 3 network.

£25 a month for 600 minutes, unlimted texts (3000 cap) and unlimited internet and email
Bought a 3g Iphone on PAYG and it works great

In November when my contract is up, I will sell the 3g and put the money towards an upgrade for the Iphone 4 to try and keep my tarrif low.

I use the Iphone for Tethering with my laptop and I get 2.5mb fairly constantly where I live, perfectly fast enough for viewing websites........have got a few texts about going over the Fair use Policy thou!!

How does 3 having the handset take away any premium status?!?

Also, you do know, for normal voice calls 3 use the O2 network, dont you?

Actually, 3 roam on Orange these days http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hutchis...United_Kingdom i also think 3 are great, yet i'm disturbed by legends wear 7's post, that sort of thing is very unprofessional, i would like to think that this sort of mix-up is rare, yet i fear 3 like Vodafone are served by ridiculously untrained staff, any company is only as good as it's customer service.

Your right Kester, although they only use Orange when their own network isn't availiable.
