I am juust really sick to death of Chesney, that ginger idiot never goes to school and all he cares about is that bloody dog, he is setting a terrible example to other kids that play truent and will probably grow up to live off benefits, as for his "mother", well she is just a dirty s**t .

Chesney is a sweetheart! He's good for Les and I think Les is good for him. As for the dog, he is just gorgeous.

Leave Chesney alone, he's decided to go to school now, and the dog in question now resides at the kennels and only visits Chesney am i right?

The poor boy has been shoved from pillar to post all his life. Never known a father - just dozens of 'uncles'. He may well grow up to live off benefits but with a mother like Cilla he doesn't know any different. She let him skip school constantly and at that age if your Mum says it's alright then it must be alright.

I agree with all you've said. Plus I don't believe he's setting a bad example for other kids and inspiring them to skip school.. After all, if anything the visit the social worker paid to them would surely discourage it.

So because he is setting a bad example (to thousands of kids who already do it) he is a bad character? If all the characters were to set good examples they would all live in lala land and have a happy life? Well that is not realistic?

I love Chesney, he is so funny and the kid who plays him is a brilliant actor!

Chesney, is the funniest, most likeable and talented young actors, I have seen in all soaps in a long, long time - he deserves alot of praise - he is brilliant as Chesney.... he doesnt even have to open his mouth to speak ... his expressions do the talking...

He's a great actor for such a young age - and you actually feel sympathy for him, unlike Dosie Wobster.

I was watching The Bill on UKTV Gold today and I think little Chesney was playing Gary Best's nephew. He is not a bad lil actor is he.

Yes you're right. Sam Aston (however here listed as Samuel Aston) played Ryan Best in five episodes of the bill, 2002-3.

Tyrone had a very similar background. Terrible criminal mother on benefits, and was abandoned and taken in by Jack 'n' Vera. He turned out alright because he wanted to be nothing like her. Chesney will probably be the same, especially if Fizz is looking out for him. I wouldn't put money on him getting to University though, with Kirk and Les as role models.

But it isn't him in the Werther's Original advert. Apparently he gets very cross if you mention it.

It's not him, someone asked Inside Soap magazine if it was and they said that it was not.
