I guess the title pretty much explains the general idea.

Here's my list:

From corrie- Eileen (of course). Hilarious, and brilliant mother. Gail could take a few lessons in supportiveness and acceptance from her.

Blanche, so so SO funny! Corrie should never go a show without her!

From EE- Minty! I think he could be a welcome change from the "tough" (smirk..) gangsters of the square. He's a softy, and would be great for Sam.

Patrick and Yolande.. They're so cheery and entertaining. Why should we have to listen to the whining of Pauline and Derek, and such elderly residents when we've Patrick and Yolande!

Tracey. She has been in EE for nearly 20 years and only speaks about 6 trimes a year

Oh, I don't know about that. Since Kate Ford's arrival she's never been short of storylines.. She's had more than any other character recently. However if her departure is for a long while it'd be a shame. I think Tracy's great..

Err, I think piston's talking about Tracey the barmaid in EE, or am I being dense (not an unusal state )

Lol, it's pretty clear I'm the dense one, that's what I get for not reading posts properly.. But, anyway.. yeah, have to agree Tracy is totally underused. The character must get tons of overtime though.. working in the Vic where every three minutes she has to cover for someone, work late etc.

It's funny, hasn't Tracy been in it since about 1996/7? She's outlasted most of the current EE cast! I don't see any reason to make her a more regular character, I haven't liked much of what I've seen on screen, but it world be rather surreal and interesting if they did..

Anyway:

Emmerdale -

Diane and Lisa. All their storylines seem to revolve around other people as opposed to themselves. They're never short of screentime, just stories and they're brilliant actresses so I'd like them to have plots to themselves.

Emily and Paddy haven't been used much at all since they got married! Another underused actress..

Edna is brilliant and should be given more storylines as well. She has comedic value which they use well, but some more serious storylines really should come her way.

Yeah, they wouldn't want to make the same mistake they did by making Shirley the Bookie's employee an active character..

Old Tracey's maybe the new ones had a bit more to get her teeth into.
I think Gus in EE is underused.

Yeah, and when he is used they make a complete joke out of the character.. I thought Gus was lovely when he was with Sonia and was heartbroken when she left him for that frog Jamie.. Now however he's just plain irritating.

Tracey the barmaid has been in EastEnders a lot longer than most of the cast! It wouldn't be same without her one-liner every few weeks! And Winston, the market stall guy, apparently he was suspended for something or other, and is coming back soon!

Gus is overused, and Juley, I can't stand either of those characters.

I think that factory worker in Underworld.. Sonia? She's fairly under-used, she only ever appears to flirt with some bloke! Eg. Steve, Nick, and soon enough Danny!

I think that Patrick the taxi driver in Corrie is also under-used. He'd make a perfect boyfriend for Eileen.
I also liked it better when Gus and Sonia were together. I think they made a really good couple. I wonder why, after Jamie's death, the scriptwiters decided to pair her off with Martin instead of Gus?

Yeah, Patrick's about the right age, has a sense of humour and isn't a complete loser like most of the local males.. (ie Les!)

I guess Sonia was paired with Martin because the EE people probably thought: "Oh hey, nobody would ever seen that one coming, what a great twist.. especially since he knocked her up, then later knocked down her fiancee." I would also have prefered to see Gus and Sonia reconcile, but by then he had already been morphed into a character who wasn't there to be taken seriously by anyone..

I think EE Dereks son and grandson are tragically underused - they appeared for about a week, met and hugged, and then left!! Where are they, not even been mentioned since they met!!
