Alexandra Burke ft. Bruno Mars - Before It Explodes
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewk6W...ayer_embedded#!
I like it.. I think. Not sure where it's from though? A new album or just a stand alone song? This, and Start Without You, seem new. Are there any others?? |

This was just a demo for Overcome, I think.
But I love it. Should have been on the album.

I love Bruno Mars. His voice is like satin bedsheets for the ears.
But Alexandra just annoys me. I like All Night Long, but she really loves herself too much now. |

I agree. Alexandra is a good singer but she is so up herself and genuinely believes she's some sort of major 'superstar'. She thinks she knows it all and desperately tries so hard to convince people that she's not manufactured and actually has input into her music. Generally she comes across like "Look at me, I won X Factor, I'm so famous, I'm on tv, I'm so brilliant".

I see her as having a spunky personality - she has a strong opinion of a lot of topics and she lets us know about herself unlike Leona "amazing" Lewis
Also a few months ago she said she was a fan of Lady Gaga, but said she "shouldn't take herself seriously because that's where you can go wrong". How the hell would she know?? She's a manufactured singer who has Cowell and his team orchestrating her every move. Ohhhh you've got me started now ![]()

It's how she acts on tv, and things like this, this, and this that really annoy me about her. I know those are just excerpts from other articles, but I think the titles say it all. It's like she's saying "Look at me I'm really famous and I'm mates with loads of really famous cool people in music!" Who does she think she is?

I personally don't see anything wrong with them. Remember, they are articles. It might seem like she just randomly tells journalists all this stuff but it's only because journalists actually ask her in the first place.

I couldn't have said any better myself, his voice is gorgeous especially on the Bruno Mars record and he is on Travis Mc Coy's Song - Billionnaire too....xo

"Because it's my first endorsement, I cried when I saw it. It features my song All Night Long and is really cool as it's all about me."
You wouldn't hear Leona Lewis/Will Young/Lemar/JLS/Kelly Clarkson/Jordin Sparks saying that, I'm sure. Hell, even Lady Gaga would not have said that!

That was actually quite rude. I'm not dictating or anything, but I think you owe Kutox an apology. I think they have a point. You wouldn't hear Leona Lewis/Will Young/Lemar/JLS/Kelly Clarkson/Jordin Sparks saying that, I'm sure. Hell, even Lady Gaga would not have said that! She was crying because she has a tv endorsement that focuses on her, after spending years thinking she would never get a break. I love how people are so quick to jump on Alex for every little thing she says to show what an ego she has, yet they completely ignore the numerous charitable events she has been involved in (and yes, many of these have not been widely publicised so it's not 'all for exposure'), far more so than her other x-factor stablemates. |

Well Aston from JLS got a lot of stick for saying 'we raised the bar' when talking about groups on the x-factor. And I would imagine it was taken out of context like this quote.

And I'd be embarrassed if I had to watch a video that solely focussed on me. Why would you cry? How pathetic can you get? And yes, well done for all these charitable events I've never heard of (unless we're talking Hero and Everybody Hurts), but it doesn't mean she still doesn't adore herself. |

To be fair, I think Aston was right. Maybe he could have worded it better, but he has a point. As shit as JLS are, they were better than most groups.

She's such a cow, isn't she? Let's put it this way, if you had been trying to break into the industry and kept getting knocked back, then had your life changed in the space of a year, perhaps you would find your first endorsement a bit emotional. And like Aston, maybe she could have worded it better. His comments are every bit if not more so full of self-adoration. |

I'm not stereotyping anyone. And Kutox did say in their post that they were not saying that just because Alexandra was from X Factor. Alexandra does seem to think she's worth more than she actually is.
And I'm just saying, you were quite rude to Kutox. It was quite unnecessary. They hadn't even said anything to you but you got annoyed... When did I say Alexandra was a cow?...... I think you need to calm down a bit ![]() And it was lovely of Simon (and Alexandra) to pay for that treatment. ![]() I just find it frustrating considering some of the vile things that are posted about her on twitter etc, that every comment she makes seems to be used as evidence against her to prove that she is overblown and full of her own self-importance. She put it this way herself in an interview in the Times: Quote:
“People have said I’m fake,” says Burke, smiling. “But what they don’t know about me is that, for a 21-year-old, I’ve gone through what a 30-year-old has — and more. I just don’t talk about it. I don’t talk about what’s in my past. If you knew my past, you’d know why I’m so enthusiastic about my work now.”
And the comments about the Sure advert come from Gordon Smart, who posted a completely fabricated article last year quoting Alex saying how she hadn't made any money so far and couldn't even afford to buy a house which left her open to the usual 'who the hell does she think she is?' comments. A few days later she denied the story on her radio tour, and said that she had just invested in two properties so that if her career dried up she would have something to fall back on. So I would take those comments with a pinch of salt, like everything else he writes.

yes indeedly, I heard it in H&M I thought it was Jason Mraz first lol cos he sounded like him....lol, he swears on Billionnaire?!....the other song I was referring to was B.O.B. -Nothing On You with Bruno Mars, the lyrics suit his silky but gorgeous voice....xo
Maybe they had a censored version in H&M? I heard it on youtube ages ago because I'm subscribed to the Fueled By Ramen channel and Travis is signed to them. One of the summer songs of 2010 I am predicting ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aRor905cCw |

Fall Out Boy were on FBR, then Pete made his own branch of the label, Decaydance, to which he signed Panic! At The Disco, Paramore, that Young Money rapper Tyga, The Academy Is..., Cobra Starship and Gym Class Heroes. I think he ended up buying out part of FBR so all those bands/artists ended up on FBR. So I think Pete owns a bit of it
![]() it all sounds a bit complicated to me lol....I look forward Bruno Mars's Album though! xx

Blimey, what on earth's been going on here?
Well thanks MJ_lives for sticking up for me, nice to know someone else realises I say these things for a valid reason. But I think the fact that Stube chose not to address anything said and call me closed-minded without giving any reason speaks for itself. The truth hurts I guess? In fact, to suggest that I say such things about Alexandra 'just because she is from X Factor' is more closed-minded than anything I've ever said on here. I wouldn't say those same things about Leona Lewis, for example. Although I'm not a fan of her, and she is a bit dull (don't think anyone can argue with that) she doesn't come across as attention-loving and wanting to be on tv and in the papers every day - Alexandra does, regardless of the fact she was from X Factor (although it seems obvious why she entered the show). I've already said why I think this. She can deny it, but she doesn't exactly help herself by some of the things she says and the way she acts. I don't know what she expects us to think. |
