I agree. He was superb. The episode "Dalek" was outstanding regarding his performance. I'll never forget it.

Although I am well aware of what San Francisco looks like (Bullett, Dirty Harry, mythbusters etc) I certainly didn't give a monkeys where it was based. Generic American City was good enough for me.

Add to it as well that his replacement has now left, RTD has left amongst others, very little is left of his era is on the show. He's held back waiting till now, and even now all he's done is touched the surface, without resorting to name calling etc.

I'll say this, had Who returned with DT as the doctor instead of CE, I doubt we'd be in the positiion we are today with the series. CE, captured the role perfectly for the reboot, and passed on the torch to a wonderful actor in DT. Yes, a second series of CE as the doctor would have been great, but hey it wasn't to be, and even if I did own my own TARDIS I wouldn't go back and attempt to change his mind.

Now then I'm out of here, got to get to the local Morrison's, early Sunday is the best time to bump into CE there.
