Says they're going over to a Flash-based system - hmm not sure if I approve or not - last year's system worked well.

How much will it cost with the discount?

And sorry to sound thick, but what will be the difference this year with a flash based feed?

At a guess, a flash-based feed might be more CPU intensive than RealPlayer.

How good is the USA feed? And how long does it run for?

I wont bother if it is on for a massive chunk of the UK series

In comparison to the LF in the past on BBUK the BBUS has always been far superior in quality.

So I don't understand why you might not approve of Flash-based system.

At least on BBUS you get more than 1 picture to watch! In past, you got 4-5 feeds & you choose which you want to watch.

Wow, you can watch 4/5 feeds?! I thought big brother only ever records 3 feeds, or maybe thats just the uk version. Is the US feed censored at all? And this flashback feature, can you choose to flashback to certain camera feeds or just to a point in time and you have to take the feed you're given?
Thanks.

BBUS has always been better I think. Especially with more than 1 feed to watch.
I really have no idea about this Flashback except for what the website states.

The concept of the program is different too.
There is a Head of House who gets a luxury room & can have anyone there they want to sleep or what ever. ALl gourmet foods & get gifts from home etc. They also have the huge TV to watch & listen to all hm's regardless where inside & outside they are.
Plus they encourage discussing noms.

You have to do task to earn food or else you get peanutbutter sandwiches for a week lol

I don't like the idea that both shows are on together. Rather UK was over with & then US one starts.

Flashback is great, like Sky +, you can rewind all feeds to 5 hours, 4 days ago and watch as live, last year you could even watch the previous season (not recommended for the amount of keesha yapping)

There are are 4 feeds. A lot of the time two feeds are on the same action though, but still, if lots of stuff is happening around the house, all 4 feeds will be on separate locations.

The US feed is only censored for tasks and Nomination/Veto ceremonies (these are kept for the main CBS shows)*. This doesn't stop you from knowing the results of tasks though, because obviously the housemates discuss the events afterwards. Pretty much everything else is uncensored, swearing is allowed, arguments are usually shown in full with no sound dips or cutaways, and in the case of some seasons, lots of nakedness.

*Endurance HoH tasks aren't censored. Every once in a while there will be an endurance task for HoH, this task will start at the end of the live Eviction show, and you can continue to view it on the live feeds afterwards.

If the housemates are discussing something liable, or singing, it will cutaway to 'Fishies' (or whatever the house pet is that year). But this doesn't last too long usually because Big Brother will tell them to "Please stop singing."

With the Flashback feature you can Flashback to any time. You just type in the time you want and all four feeds will flashback to this time, and will broadcast whatever was happening on each of those feeds at that time.

There are also extra shows that take place on one of the feeds. For example, last year there was a show called Express Lunch with ex-housemate Chelsia, were they would discuss the goings-on in the show, and take callers and emails. And this year ex-housemate Janelle will have her own show on the feeds.

Oooooh, tempting with Janelle this year xD But don't think I'll pay £27 for it (away on the 7th). I don't think I watched too much last year anyways xD

Yeah thats the sad part, especially when C4 (UK) aired the USA version when it didnt clash (Aka: Seasons 4 and 9)

The other thing that is censored is when they sing (because BB would have to pay royalties) or when they mention people who have not signed release forms. It can get annoying.

Feed is best when BB feeds them some booze, and they are all in the backyard in the pool.............

Flashback is great because all the good activity happens after midnight Pacific time, and if you live in another time zone you can't stay up to see it.

As far as four feeds, it is extremely unusual for them to show four different scenes at once, normally it is two, with the other two feeds being duplicates. Very false advertising on that score.

Thanks for the discount site to whoever posted it.

I don't know what flashbased systmes means, but I bet I can't get it on my iPad.
