Nexus One Battery
Anyone know of a decent and not too expensive spare battery for the Nexus One?
eBay is a bit of a risk - i've had great batteries from there for my old Nokia, but the ones I got for my N1 weren't up to it at all (3 hours use this morning!). I guess the N1 is just too power-hungry for inferior cells... Thing is, the official N1 battery costs $25 + $25 shipping from the Google store. I don't mind paying thr, if I were to buy 4 or 5 for friends. But I can only add one to the cart and the shipping is just too much for one! I don't want to pay the £30 plus shipping that expansys (HTC's recommended UK supplier) are asking coz that's twice the US price. Third party batteries are fine, but I want to know it's going to perform! So can anyone recommend a UK source? |

Firstly, there are a number of batteries available from Amazon suppliers here http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_...nexus+one+batt
Personally, I would be inclined to trust Amazon suppliers more than Ebay ones but in this case many of the batteries have not yet been rated by users. Secondly, are the Nexus One batteries the same as any batteries used in other HTC mobiles such as the Desire? If they are the same then that might offer another way of getting a suitable battery. Either way, Good Luck! |

HTC have confirmed it's the same battery as the Desire, so I've ordered a couple of suspiciously cheap ones (though the shifty-sounding guy on the phone assured me they're genuine HTC).
Will report back! |
