Nokia 6220c, lost some contacts.

Tried to do a software upgrade and for some reason it went tits up. Anyway done a restore to revert back to the old version, that went OK. Noticed some of my contacts are missing. Looked in phone memory, sim and memory card but they are not there. But when one of the people who's contact is lost phones or texts their name shows. Where have these lost contacts gone and where do I find them and get them back?
