Given what it is offering and they way i read it that you only keep content while you subscribe i wont be parting with my cash for it.

I'm only saying I will get it presuming XGC will be included as well as Firstplay. I may still change my mind if no more details are giving though.

No.
I don't download enough from the PSN to save any money via the freebies. |

No
I don't think Sony are offering what people really want, reading the blog the only thing that appeals to me is automatic downloads and I'm not paying £40 for that. |

£40 a year...maybe...depends what you get.
I've only ever bought about 3 things from the store in the 2 years I've had a PS3. However I did credit my account with £20 the other day, will probably buy the U2 maps, RE5 add on, and Heavy Rain episode. Not keen on PSN games though. Apart from that new zombie one thats out soon, I'll get that. |

I didn't see any prices (only seen the blog post about it really), but if its £40 a year? Hmm...tricky one.
1 PSN game a month - good, but chances are it will be a game you have got already! If not the sales that run are pretty decent anyway. 2 Minis a month - could be good, could not be. Not overly sold on Minis myself. 1 PS1 game a month - vast majority of the PS1 games have been rubbish! Avatars and themes - who cares really? Exclusive demos - not interested in paying for demos. Full game trial - could be interesting, but again not interested in paying for demos. Automatic download - nice feature, but not something interesting enough to shell out cash for. Overall - meh! |

It's Sony.
You're going to be given some barrel scraping Mini's, some PSN games that are a decade old. . .and possibly some stupid useless clothes for a virtual character. On top of all that you only keep it until you cancel your subscription. . .so you're really only renting them. Anyone who subscribes needs some serious mental help IMO. |

Are the definitely only renting you the games and stuff? Nothing on the blog post seems to suggest that. If it is true then that is a definite no from me.

There doesn't seem to be much interest in people wanting to pay for psn+. I think sony missed the boat charging for online play when the ps3 first came out. If they could go back in time i think they would seriously consider it.

I'm not convinced, but they didn't give many specific details.
Also, you only get to keep everything you've downloaded while you're subscribed, so once you leave PS+, you lose everything. |

The free games they talk about are only just rentals after all then. Would be ok if you could pick what you wanted - but you can't. I have read that the first game is Wipeout HD. So if you own that already like I do then the first month already seems not such a great deal.
As somebody said on the PS blog - it is like paying for a movie rental service that will offer you a random movie every month that there is a good chance you already own or are not interested in. On the blog comments, the Sony staff are keen to point out you get to keep all the avatars! |

No i won't be getting it, i don't like the fact that unless you keep your subscription going they'll restrict your access to the content you downloaded

No.
I very rarely play online while the PSN is free. The rest of the extras don't appeal to me. |

I can honestly say nothing on that list interests me. The amount I have spent on the PSN must be below th £10 mark and I have no intention of increasing this amount.
For PSN+ the games they will allow will inevitably be the rubbish that doesn't normally sell, mini are crap (imo), PS1 games belong in the past let them stay there and automatic downloads is the height of laziness just log on yourself and click "download". Not hard really. |
