As a PS+ subscriber, it seems you also get automatic access to the Destiny Beta.

PS+ from July 2nd by format.

TowerFall Ascension (PS4)
Strider (PS4)
Dead Space 3 (PS3)
Vessel (PS3)
LEGO Batman 2: DC Superheroes (PS Vita)
Doki Doki Universe (PS Vita / PS3 / PS4)

So, technically that's 3 games for PS3/PS4 owners. Sort of.
The graphics better in the PS3 games than the PS4 games. I'm over this retro thing big time !!!!!!

Dead Space 3... Happy with that as not played it. Glad I kept my PS3 anyway for the superior graphics! I think soon they'll be giving us retro versions of games that they've just given us.

Not too bad this month for me. I enjoyed Dead Space 1 and 2 but was put off 3 a bit by the reviews so never actually got around to getting it.
There is nothing wrong with Dead Space 3. It's a good game. Maybe not as good as the first two but the gameplay is much more DS2 than DS1 and it's a lot nicer to look at (FXAA).

The "microtransaction" issue was over exaggerrated. As long as you explore the game, you should find 3 bots on your first playthrough and you should be rolling in resources by the time you find the 3rd bot.

I do like 8-bit style games but I have plenty of them and have played that genre for 30 years. I don't think that graphics are the be-all and end-all of games but clearly if you buy a PS4 it's for the extended graphical and processing capability. Using it to play 8-bit games seems a bit like buying a 50" 4K TV then watching movies on VHS.

Anyway. It's still free. I don't like to complain about this stuff; I originally bought PS+ for my PS3 so anything I now get on Vita and PS4 is genuinely free.

Oh don't buy a 50" 4k tv. It needs to be at least 55" for the resolution to be even barely noticeable.

You'd think with the massive increase in ps+ subscribers we'd be getting better quality games. Come on Driveclub.

It depends on the distance you are from the screen http://img28.imageshack.us/img28/629/200ppdengleski.png

Going by the chart, if your 22 feet or under from a 50 inch TV, 4k is preferable.

22 feet??? . When I game, I sit 3 feet from the tv and watching tv I'm at about 7.
22 feet would have me out in the garden.

Oh I didn't miss your point mojo, I agree. I want pretty games too. I just pulled the irrelevant part from your post. Oops.

If i sat 22 feet away from my tv i'd be out of the windown and it's a long way down from the 20th floor lol.
I tend to sit about 3 feet away when gaming and about 5feet when watching.

Indeed so you would see the difference if you got a 4k TV as I would sitting between 10 and 15 feet away.

I guess there are so few AAA games for the PS4 that we're bound to just be getting leftovers at the minute. I don't mind games like PixelJunk and Resogun because they're fun and addictive but games like Mercenary Kings are a bit of a joke.

I think Mercenary Kings is a brilliant little game & I had tons of fun playing it.

Reminded me of Metal Slug which is a franchise i've always been a big fan of.

I've just downloaded trine on the ps4, thought I'd play it for 5 mins and uninstall it, how wrong was I. It's not a bad little game, could do with a co-op player to help with some of the trophies.

I must admit I'm looking forward to playing strider. I can just about remember playing it in my teens.

Curious to give DS3 a go. Loved the first game, but never really got into the DS2 (which I also go through plus).

The PS4 content is okay - Towerfall is meant to be a great local co-op game, so will certainly give it a go. I don't play a massive amount of local co-op being honest, so never would have purchased this. Strider looks okay. I tried the demo and enjoyed it (not enough to buy it mind..)
Doki Doki will be interesting to spend some time with. I have Lego Batman already. I think the lego games on vita are great. Cut down from the ps3 but mainly just missing the hub world stuff, which I am not a massive fan of anyway.

DS3 is the standout for me.

DS3 was good but I think EA took it too much down a the shooter path and away ftom the horror.
A bit like how ea took mass effect from rpg to shooter, ea do like to take games away from the fan base and open them to the masses.

I really enjoyed DS3 and played through the full game a few times with a mate, the online co-op worked very well.

It should be, just waiting for Sony to press the Go button and activate it. They seem to be running quite late today.
