Dire month but not too bothered, FIFA 15 is on the way and still need to finish Stick it to the Man and Ground Zeroes

Can that Sports Stars game be played single player? I don't have any friends.

Mixed bag this month, no real stand out classics, Playstation all stars being the biggest on offer and coincidently the only one I own

The others though I don't own and for the most haven't heard of so there could be a few hidden gems

Another poor month for me, none of them interest me except playstation all stars but I already own that.

I've been playing The Last Of Us again - still as good as I remember it. Other than that, it's £350 Netflix machine right now lol.

Velocity 2X looks like it could be fun and possibly rival Resogun in terms of addictiveness.

I've had a look at all the trailers and I still think this is a good month.

Velocity 2X [PS4] - looks very hectic. I think it'll be fun.

Sportsfriends [PS4/PS3] - ok, this looks shite. All the sports are retarded.

PlayStation Allstars Battle Royale [PS3/Vita] - highlight of the month. Who doesn't pitting play stations biggest characters against each other, smash bros style.

Hoard [PS3] - this looks right up my street, it has dragons, treasure and smashing cities. Pity I don't have my ps3 anymore.

TxK [Vita] - not too bothered about this.

Joe Danger PS Vita [Vita] - it's no trials fusion, but it'll be fun on the go.


Also, velocity might be cross buy, not 100% sure tho.

The annoying thing with the line up this month is that the games are old. Sony Smash Bros. is 2 years old and Hoard is 4 years old. This time last year we got Assassins Creed 3 and Far Cry 3.

But velocity is brand spanking new.

I know it's not the best of months ... But for me it's way better than the last few months.

Not sure on velocity. Looks like an amiga game. The sports friends looks like an atari vcs 2600 game. The video I watched on sf the folk Were having fun but would have needed 4 controllers.

I didn't think velocity looked too retro. I'd compare it with resogun.

I watched the sportsfriends video on the ps blog and they posted showed people jumping around like clowns. Some has ds4s and others had ps move.

This month is pretty poor in my opinion, with one stand-out game

Velocity 2X [PS4] - velocity was fun and this one looks even better. The metroid style "out of the ship bits" look ace. My only grumble is that I would prefer to play it on the Vita really (as with most indie games).

Sportsfriends [PS4/PS3] - absolutely no interest. Meant to be fun in local multiplayer, but I cannot see me getting any use of out of this (to the point where I will likely not even download it). I query the logic in including a game with such a strong local mulitplayer focus.

PlayStation Allstars Battle Royale [PS3/Vita] - Already own it. It's ok, no more than that though. Might dip back in for the platinum though.

Hoard [PS3] - Meh - Very surprised to see a PSN game this old as part of the offering.

TxK [Vita] - Already own it - spiritual successor to Tempest for those of a certain age. Decent shooter which I expected to enjoy way more than I actually did.

Joe Danger PS Vita [Vita] - Own it on PS3 but it is a better fit for the vita. A great game, so happy to see it.

I understand that there are limited libraries to choose from on PS4 and vita. But Hoard on PS3 is a really random selection.

Sure it's not a full game but it's a good few tracks and cars, and I'll take a glorified demo over the crap we got over the past few months.


It says something on the US blog that velocity is cross buy with the vita so your wish may come true.

If velocity is cross-buy then that makes it a decent(ish) month.

I am really only looking at it as a PS3 user.

The year before those we got Red Dead Redemption. We have seen a massive decrease in game quality IMHO and the games been offered are getting older.

It seems that now the service is mandatory on PS4 Sony really aren't trying like they used to.

Looking forward to TxK, I was a massive fan of Tempest in my youth...

Oh I do agree that if you look at last years vs this years then the quality of games has declined, but the quantity is more. It's a shame. I would prefer 3 good games than 6 shit ones.

Some 8 bit games have been announced for ps4: Nidhogg and Alone with you.

Probably coming to a ps+ subscription near you soon.

To be honest the PS4 hasn't really got any games that would really shine on the PS+. Maybe Watch Dogs or Tomb Raider but that is about your lot.

Will try the games on the Vita and have a look at Horde. So far this year I have picked up Bioshock:Infinite and Lego Batman 2 as well as Dragon's Crown so I feel my subscription has been paid back. Fez and Metrico have been okay, the bits I have played, from the current month as well.

You give people free games, some of which have been alright, and they still moan. Some people are not satisfied.

I don't know what it used to be like but I'm guessing the likes of Red Dead Redemption didn't appear on PS+ a month or two after they were released. The PS4 is still fairly new so I don't think too much can be expected just yet, but the PS3 offerings have been good IMO and I've been satisfied with enough of the PS4 games to say that I haven't wasted my money.
