It wouldn't bother me if PS+ became an indie showcase service but Sony really need to communicate to us what the service is and what we should expect. Based on the service we received last year this years offerings have been a real let down. We had a lot of major AAA games offered last year fairly close to the games original release dates and without any communication from Sony as to what to expect from the PS+ service that is what I am expecting now (At least from a PS3 standpoint, with those type of games appearing soon on PS4 once the console ages a bit).
The big problem here is Sony delivered the 'Earth' last year, the service we received last year was Caviare and Smoked Salmon every month and now we are been given scraps and value range goods. There is nothing really wrong with what is actually been offered, its just the fine dinning has gone and been replaced with fish and chips. Both are good but one is a disappointment when you have become accustomed to the other.”
Great post.
PS+ has historically given us A grade games. Or at the very least, big-budget titles. If that is to change, then Sony need to be upfront about it.
To be fair to them though, I don't expect AAA big-budget titles to be on PS4+ at the minute. The console is still in its infancy. The fact we've got Outlast and have an edition of Driveclub on the way at some stage is pretty good. Trine 2 is also a very, very solid game.
PS3+ got Dead Space 3 and Crysis 3 only a couple of months ago. Arkham Asylum arrived last month. These are still big-budget titles.
