Tried some of the games today.
OlliOlli just frustrated me. It's tough to get the hang of, despite simple controls. That game would piss me off more than entertain me. Counterspy is cool. I only did the prologue mission but it's fun. I might give this a good shot. Oddworld is just like I remember it. Daft as a brush that game. |

Just saying it would be nice to have a bit more variety on offer now and then, every month it's the same overrated indie side scrolling crap.

Glad Killzone wasn't one of the games seeing as I got that in my PS4 bundle when I bought it and also because it's rubbish.
This looks like one of the best months to me. I put off buying Oddworld hoping it'd come on PS+ eventually. |

Subjective. A lot of it isn't crap... let alone over-hyped...
Give me a 3D world to explore (GTA, Fallout, Elder Scrolls etc..) knocks spots of that side scrolling 2d bullshit. |

I'll admit there has been the odd gem, Rogue Legacy for instance but I'd be scratching my head if I had to list more than three that I've fully enjoyed. Had a go at Secret Ponchos last night, now that is some turgid ****.

I've only had time to hit retro games lately, been far too busy for anything more in depth. Rogue Legacy, Shooter Ultimate, Resogun, Stardust and Guacamelee have all been getting hammered for a start. Love 'em. Quote:

Olli Olli 2 is my favourites game this month (already had Valiant Hearts & Abe) but I suck at it. I keep pressing X to jump out of habit for the past 20 years!! It keeps making you want to go back and do better

When are you supposed to do the tricks with the analogue, i only seem to be able to pull off the simple tricks. Sometimes i get good ones but i think its more down to luck. Not sure when you are supposed to start the trick.

Dishonoured was an awesome game.
Road Redemption looks bloody awful. Racing on rooftops, guns No thanks. It looks like a crappy bike combat game desperately trying to sell itself based on a gaming classic.

Valiant Hearts on the other hand is pretty good. Not done too much, but I get the feeling I'll get quite connected to the characters before the end. Reminds me of Limbo in a way. Still to try Counterspy. |

Valiant Hearts is very cool. Interesting story and gameplay and a distinctive art-style.
Oddworld has aged badly. Very badly. The coat of paint hasn't done a thing to change the punishing and confusing gameplay, largely thanks to the imprecise platforming controls. |

Not impressed, played this when it first came out and found it quite a chore, graphics were pretty poor too iirc.
I'm going through the 2nd story DLC at the moment but will play the game again using a different play style at some point. The graphics aren't fatastic but it's an Unreal Engine 3 title and it's probably the best performing UE3 title to hit the PS3. |

Remember that because of the alignment of the moons this/next month we should be getting the ps+ announcement on Wednesday, Apr 1, and we will get the games on the 8th.
