Im not too thrilled about this months PSN. I was tempted to buy a card to get the Ratpure game.

Problem for me is it needs to be a good game to get me to buy. Since I upgraded my PC Ive been buying games I already have on the PS4 like PVZ GW2 & GTA V because on a PC you dont have to pay a online service to use online features.

Ho hum, so that's the whole of 2016 gone then without me feeling to need to re-subscribe.

I completely agree. Weak line up, doubt I'll even add them to library. I bet there's a good line up a month after xmas.

That is your only reason? Any PSN+ games you have you wont be able to play them if you let it run out. I personally couldn't do that as I play a lot online.

At first glance it looks like an uninspiring set of games, but Invisible Inc seems to be pretty highly acclaimed among people that have tried it. Not my type of game as a rule but probably worth a look.

And nice to see a PlayStation VR compatible game on there so soon. Hyper Void is a tidy little Tempest-style shooter that looks fantastic in VR.

No with me just buying ffxv (got lucky last steelbook copy in argos lol), and Skyrim on the way i'll be too busy with those. nothing interests me this month on ps+ so not worth re-subscribing at the moment.

The december games look very disapointing. Maybe its why they had let Rapture be downloading against this month.

Is the game any good?

It sounds good but when I checked youtube footage it seemed quite boring walking around a empty town.

I found it quite boring but I don't enjoy walking sims anyway. A lot of people seemed to like it though.

Dreadful month, especially considering that XBLG really pulled it out of the bag for Christmas.

My sub runs out at the end of December and I really need to think about whether I need it.

£40 is not a lot in the grand scheme of things and I can afford it, but the principal of giving that money to Sony for very little in return is irking me. I rarely play online and I can count on one hand the number of Plus games I've completed over the past year. I've made some savings from extra PS+ discount but, again, I rarely buy digitally as it's not often the best deal.

I'm in a similar situation. I took out the membership in January last year so I could play Rocket League and Battlefield 4 online and try out the free titles. But I grew bored of those game and didn't find any others that I enjoyed playing online. I've found very few PSN games that have interest me (though to be fair I haven't played many). Journey and Gone Home were entertaining for the 3 odd hours it took me to complete them each but that's about it.

I would prefer it if they gave us a choice of a few old gen games. There's loads of PS2 titles that i'd enjoy being able to play again.

Same with me. Mine expired in September 2015 and I didn't renew as I'd only downloaded a couple of games in the previous few months, didn't even complete them and I don't play online anymore. I didn't have a PS3 or Vita anymore either, so my PS+ sub was purely for the "free" PS4 offerings. £40 a year isn't a lot but if you hardly ever download any PS+ games or don't use it for online play then you're not getting value or money. I'd rather spend that £40 on a game or two I want.

I love the indies they keep putting out - Invisible Inc got some great reviews so looking forward to trying it - but must admit I wish we'd see something like Killzone / Knack soon...

Invisible Inc is a absolutely brilliant game, probably one of the best games they've put out this year. Anyone who loves XCOM series will lap this up. You'd really want Knack a game you can pick up second hand for under a fiver, and was generally panned over something quite brilliant?

So basically go try Invisible Inc - don't be put of by the fact you've never heard of it and it wasn't a Triple A release - this is a great game. It's free you've got nothing to lose.

That isn't putting me off, the fact it's a turn based stealth game certainly is though!
I absolutely detest the trial and error involved in stealth games, I do not have enough free time to play the same mission/segment 10 times or to sit for 5 minutes waiting on a guard changing his patrol pattern. Easily my most hated genre of game and they seem to be quite prevalent on PS plus unfortunately.

Sleeping Dogs Definitive Edition has never been on PS Plus!
If it had it would be the best PS4 game on the service so far.
