I have a couple of questions regarding my + acc.
When I first signed up I got the heavy rain demo pushed to me but not modnation. Anyone know why? I have owned modnation in the past so do you think it's not been pushed to me as it's in my recently played list so thinks I don't want the demo? My auto updates is set to on, but since my first update my ps3 hasn't turned on once to look for updates. Should this happen daily? If you are playing on your ps3 at the time of the auto update what's happens? Should it just delay it for the day? |

Hmm dunno whether to get this, I have money for it now. The free stuff (wipeout, KZ2 map and other stuff) makes over 20 quid but I'm not a fan of wipeout games. Is LBP still free?

Has anyone seen a Players Met person with a gold plus?
Honest to god I've seen absolutely none - quite frightening for Sony. . .I presume they'll pull the cross game chat feature out of the bag sooner rather than later. |

never gave it a thought to look in players met. I have 17 on my list and that hasnt changed since a few days into it going live, as sadly I count them now and then
![]() Well, if Joe gets it that will be 18 I guess. Not all games add players into players met mind you (for some reason) |

The players in my met players list are all MW2 as thats the only game i play online and to be fair most of them seem to be fairly single minded 'FPS shooters' (judging by there trophy list), and thus not the types to buy into Sony's Plus+ offerings.

I know that the PSN game Planet minigolf isnt adding players into players met, so probably lots of others.
I'll look through mine later and see if I have any plus folk showing in mine. |

Does the + show up on players met? Cos the new Level indicator does not appear.

Do you prefer the Euro way of plus in that they say they give you everything once per month, so basically a 3 week drought, or the way the US does it and give you quite a lot the 1st week then drip feed a little more each week. ie this week they got avatars and dynamic themes.
I think I'd prefer the US way myself. |

I prefer the EU way. I like to make my own choice.
We get everything at the start of the month, that doesn't mean we have to download everything at the start of the month. You could download half of the offerings on the new month, then two weeks later download the other half. Or just all at once. The US get no choice. EU win here I think. |

I realised the account I use most (JoeNDM) is a sub account (I made it years ago and was afraid Solid Snake was gonna come get me if I lied about my age) so I can't make purchases/get PSPlus. I could get it on the other account I made for all my other purchases (Joe_NDM) and I doubt the content is limited to that account (apart from avatars) but I have all my friends and trophies on my first account. Grrrrr

Are SCEE deliberately creating 5 week months to offer less content ??
I was curious to see what the future offers but notice the dates at the top of the page Latest Content Find out the latest content available to PlayStation Plus members. 29 June 2010 to 3 August 2010 http://uk.playstation.com/ps3/servic...ion%C2%AEPlus/ Just seems quite a long time between updates I thought. You could actually end up with maybe 10 updates per year rather than the 12 you'd originally think of your years sub. Of course, maybe as usual, I'm looking too much into it. |

We’ve got exciting news for PlayStation Plus members! On Tuesday, July 20, an exclusive demo of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will be available for automatic delivery to your PlayStation 3 system, just for PlayStation Plus subscribers. The demo is available exclusively to PlayStation Plus members for one week on the PlayStation Store — both by automatic download and from the storefront.
The demo will be available to all PlayStation Store users on Tuesday, July 27. |

Guess its *something* for plus owners. I dont personally even know what Kan and Lynch is. I've heard the name but never looked into it, so not a demo I'll even bother with when it goes on release to us PSN standard folk.

I've since read that the content plus owners have now is technically the July update. It was just because of how it launched that they did it a little earlier. There *should* be an update each calendar month from now on though. Worth keeping an eye on them though in case they are sneaky.

I must say, being a + member actually puts you off buying things off the store! I have £31 on my PSN account and I'm reluctant to buy stuff I want incase they are given away free next month or the month after!!! I think if you buy something whilst being a + member, Sony should agree that if it's given away free, you should receive a credit to your account for how much you paid for it.

On a side note, I think Sony will need to take a different approach to plus, I mean look at all the people that have plus now that wont buy anything from the store. |

I agree with what you say. I wont buy anything from the store now incase we do get it as part of plus. I don't agree with Sony giving us a credit though. That's a risk you may or may not want to take.

Yeah they need to add more none-download stuff, more network features that will appeal to a far wider audience.
If they got a good percentage of ps3 users inboard, then that would offset the lost sales. Maybe. Either way they should do something with it cos as it is, it's gonna fail. |

Totally see your point. Can i just add that I didnt take plus due to already having a lot of PSN content but I also am trying to stop buying from the store now so that maybe 6 months to a year down the line maybe plus will seem interesting to me. Seems Sony could actually lose a lot of normal sales through this plus idea.
Having seen August's lineup, I'm a little dissapointed. I want proper PSone games like MGS and Syphon Filter. Maybe they'll decide in the future to let us keep all the content. I can't see how they can block the games being played that we downloaded to be honest once we're not a member. |
