The service clearly does not make sense. As a member I've just stopped buying from the store. Don't care about what's on the store now. I've signed up for basically a content based service and I expect content monthly!

I am waiting for them to give away Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2 and Flower away for free! Now maybe it might not happen, maybe it take a long time but there's always hope....... See what I mean? You are scared what they'll give away next. Maybe it's your thing.

It could be actually damaging to their business, and it serves them right for not thinking probably about the service in the first place! Although the way it's going, the few people that are signed up, can't wait to cancel!

Totally 100% agree with you Chparmar and many are doing likewise.

For a while I was thinking of going the opposite way. ie I have not signed to plus but instead just buy the new releases as I normally done when I fancied them. However, whats even more scary for Sony imo is that I and many others now not only dont sub to plus, but I am also not buying from the store. I'm doing this in the hope maybe a year down the line that the plus service maybe starts to look attractive to me with offerings that I dont already own.

Should add that potentially this month is a good month to join with the Rachet and Clank giveaway and the whole Sam and Max thing, if thats your bag.

It's well worth it now...

I wanted MGS for ages, and now I can have it half price and keep it forever, so that's £4 I have saved. I paid £35 for my membership as I used PSN cards, I also got LBP for free, so the way I see it, being a member has so far cost me £20, and I still have 9 more updates!

I've just noticed that all the content you download, apart from WipeoutHD has an expiry date. I wonder if Wipeout is free like LBP was then?

Sam and Max = Terrible game!

Only good thing really about this months update was the half price MGS which I paid £4 for, and the fish theme lol

No I won't be buying +, seen the free stuff and nothing of interest to me. For 40 quid they need to up their game.

How are they supposed to know what YOU like?!

It will pay for itself really with the discounts it gives you. Like I said I'm on month 3 and so far have saved £14 in games I wanted.

There's a lot of negatives on here for Plus, but I'm on the other side of the fence (at the moment at least). I got my PS3 in Jan and have never downloaded anything from the store. I signed up last weekend and downloaded LBP, Motorstorm Rift DLC, plus all the free minis and PSOne games. And this month there's 50% off Warhawk which my mate raves about, so I'll probably give this a punt too.

Based on the store values, I've already downloaded more than the value of my yearly sub. Would I have bought them if I didn't have Plus? no, probably not, but I might find a gem or 2 over the year. I reckon over the year the £40 will be worth it, but it's probably going to be more of a 'break-even' than a fantastic bargain.

At the moment I think Plus makes more sense for those users like me who haven't purchased a lot from the store, than for already heavy users of the store. I guess time will tell.

yes, we agree with you, but thats the problem. Plus wasnt given any thought towards any long term users who do use the store.

Just played my 1 hour full game trial of that Mushroom wars game you guys got last month. Its actually a pretty good game isnt it ?.....I had completed 25% of it with 1 trophy when my time was just about to run out. That game would be fun with online but seems to be local multiplayer only.

Quick question, say at the end of my 12mth subscription, I don't renew, but keep all the games installed...if I then decide a month later to take it up again for another 12 months, do all those expired games on my hard drive become active again?

WHAT THE HELL??? You sir disgust me.

edit: You really do, just saying that without giving a reason is just, well, shocking, the games is great, the voice acting, the puzzles, the jokes, the music, the environments, it's literally the best PSN titles I've played along with the Monkey Island games, I can only assume you're just not into Adventure Games at all and that you're happier with games that have guns in them instead or more geared towards action.

Boring Point and Click? Stupid Storyline? Unlikeable Characters? Basic Graphics? HAHA, Oh my, I've lost all respect for you, you seriously don't get what this game is about, maybe you'd be happier with Space Marines or something?

You've lost respect for me because I don't like the 'not THAT popular' sam and max game????

I'm sure there's games you dislike. I'd just much rather play Uncharted 2 or GTA than something like sam and max. It's a terrible game, but that's my opinion. My opinion is what you should respect!

I sigh and shake my head in sadness when a gamer calls games like Monkey Island and Sam & Max terrible then say they prefer the likes of GTA. *sigh* Be honest, I bet you couldn't figure out the puzzles?

I admit at the start of the first one, after running around outside, then in the spaceship, then underground on that train thing, I was left with not knowing what to do next. There was nothing to do! Yes I've obviously missed something, but if I thought it was that good, I would have stuck with it and carried on, but all the above reasons made me delete it from my console...

Pfft, you're obviously a Modern Gamer then, your mind isn't capable of Classic Adventure Game style puzzles, a pity, these a great games. I bet you thought the game was for kids to because of it's graphics style and the fact that the main characters are a Rabbit and a Dog.

Yes. Also games PS+ games that you had installed previously. So you can delete and re-download as much as you want.

SO they will become inactive at the end of my subscription, and then even if I don't re-subscribe for 3 months, they will then all become active again?

I love point and click adventures - they're my favourite.

Broken Sword 2: The Smoking Mirror should be played by absolutely everyone.
